It’s a Dual Dagger Elementalist build. One of the hardest builds to master in this game.
I love this stuff because I love the opportunity to learn, thanks Zoose.
lol so many faceroll builds right now, this is another one

Just in time for the AoE nerfs.
Great guide though, I had never noticed the power of having fury on aura cast!

The hardest builds to master are the ones that no one uses because they aren’t as effective as the flavour of the month builds. D/D is easier to play than S/D, as button mashing is more forgiving as D/D. S/D requires more skill in other words.
This Elementalist attitude of ‘hardest class to master’ is a fantasy, none of the classes in this game have a high skill cap. The Ele simply has the highest skill floor of all the professions, and that is easily overcome by buying an MMO gaming mouse.

S/D’s air, water and earth attunements are all simpler to play than MH Dagger’s. It’s the fire burst with dragon’s tooth and phoenix that requires more skill, but outside of that, it’s easier to learn to play with Scepter, not to mention that its overall playstyle is also safer, being at a higher distance and with easier-to-use defense. D/D is more risky due to the melee-range, and demands a faster pace to survive.
The ele is also easy to start playing with. Its skills are individually simple, its traits equally so, and so is the concept behind the class. Even the attunements are easy to understand. In comparison to a profession like the mesmer, that is more indirect, abstract, and where some of its mechanics seem to make no sense to a beginneer (sacrifice illusions for a rupt), the elementalist is very straightforward.
But after you grasp the weirdness of the mesmer, it does not becomes that hard to master. Meanwhile, the more you dig deeper into an elementalist, the more you realize how much more effort the profession demands from the player. The elementalist is easy to start with, but hard to do well.
And let’s not even mention professions like the warrior or the ranger, which are easier to grasp and master than an elementalist.

Interesting to compare the differences in trait and gear choices between a tournament and wvw bunker.
I’m sorry the majority of structured pvp players see wvw as inferior and the domain of the zerg but if you take tournament principles and apply them to organised guild groups it takes things to a whole new level.
It’s nice to see more tournament teams exploring the potential and hopefully acknowledging that the end game meta does get influenced in wvw.
I enjoyed the video and must say I’m extremely envious of your latency, pity those of us trying to play competitively (in whatever game mode of choice) with latencies upwards of 150ms. Fast combos just don’t work since it takes two or more keypresses to get your skill to fire.

Try S/F bunker/condition signet/aura build. Its much harder to master than d/d but has HUGE bunker potential.

So to those who were saying aoe nerfs were inbound: How do you like your crow?
Well it would taste lovely if it wasn’t still flapping around out there.

Well, Im sorry to hear about your latency issue. That sucks.
On another note, there are bunker eles in spvp. In the EU scene they are very prevalent. This was just a certain guide that I did with a specific build. There are many viable builds that you could probably take from wvw eles to spvp. Its mostly just a matter of what your team comp is trying to accomplish and figuring out how your ele build fits into the scheme of things.
Your link is broken, friend. ;o
The build has been updated instead of sigil of battle, I now recommend sigil of hydromancy or geomancy for the extra damage proc every 9 seconds on attunement swap! Great addition to your arsenal if you’re d/d cause you stay on their face.
