Guild Wars 2

Just tried using Flamewall during a champion fight a few minutes ago and noticed it wasn’t working. It shows my character doing part of the casting animation, but then it gets “interrupted” and the skill goes into a 4 sec cooldown. I went and test it on one of the golem dummies and it still does the same thing. Even though majority of elementalists don’t use focus, this is still a big problem when a skill doesn’t work at all during combat.

I’ve noticed this as well, same goes for scepter 2 in water. x.x

I made an ele earlier today and I noticed this problem so far with flamewall and scepter 2 water. What is happening is that right before the cast of these skills are finished our auto attack is done so it interrupts the action. The fix I found was to disable auto attack on our skills, but it comes at the cost of having to manually cast it. I hope this is fixed soon.

Oh good, that’s a relief! Hopefully both scepter water 2 and focus fire 4 would get fixed. Was this mentioned somewhere in the forums? (I tried searching but I get no results everytime)

The current bug is when you have auto attack on, change attunement or try to “que” a skill / use an instant skill after. All of these will interrupt the 2 skills listed. Anet is aware of the bug as mentioned in the Elementalist live stream

He mentioned the bug in the Livestream video Dev talk about Elementalist at the end.

You can use instant skills and swap attunements without interrupting flamewall/shatterstone.

I have been having trouble, could be the auto attack happening at a similar time though.
