D/F is fun for insane zerg fights where a D/D ele may fear getting focus fired. It’s fun in big fights with Earth or air.

Yes, the focus is incredibly lackluster. It does have some great spells, but I found a huge problem that I don’t think has been addressed (I wasn’t able to read the entire thread though). Magnetic wave, earth focus 4, does not work on projectile AoEs, like Lupi’s green blob AoEs, Malrona’s poison AoEs, Wahlen’s grenades, the list goes on. Other reflection skills work on them, why does magnetic wave behave differently? I desperately want this to be fixed because it would make the spell perfect!

Reflects only work on those attacks if the projectile of the attack hits the reflect directly. Reflects such as feedback and wall of reflection manage to often reflect the attacks because they cover such a large area that the projectiles actually hit them. However, with small reflects like magnetic wave/aura, the projectile normally hits right next to you, then the aoe it causes does the damage.

I d think that… Elementalist is bad designed to PvP.

Could be better if auras be improved, working without internal CD between hits. Some effects could be changed, Fire Aura for example is useless because Chaos Armor already inflicts burn and grants might, not talking about others boons and conditions. Frost Armor also could be improved (again because Chaos Armor)

I d think that Frost Armor could only heals when attacked (scaling with heal power), and Fire Armor could only deals direct damage when attacked (scaling with power).

Give the aura gained from leaping in a fire field and tempest defense the ability to be affected by aura share and you have the new boon bot meta build.

Gale should be a teleport knockdown, it has 900 range but when using focus with a dagger that range isn’t as useful :| It also could make up for losing RTL. Telegraph on ground to choose where to teleport to and knockdown.

Change freezing gust to an aimed projectile, it shoots in a line from in front of you and everyone caught in its path is stuck in a block of ice… Might sound OP on paper but if you have to aim it manually I don’t think it would be that daunting.

Comet should have a slightly smaller radius, much more damage, and a slightly longer daze. It takes a while to land after being casted, if it does land that should also come with a hefty reward of damage!

I’d like flamewall to shoot out a projectile that you must manually aim with an arrow telegraph to guide your aim, with small width like it is now and decent range, huge initial damage if you’re caught in the projectiles way and burning upon contact from the tail of fire that it leaves behind.

Fire shield is a huge joke, what can we do to make it more appealing?!

I know I’m wasting my time here but just let me continue to dream.

The new fire gm trait helps focus in some way. That’s an improvement and consideration towards this weapon set.

I think dagger/force is going to be a very nice 1v1 build or even a dmg build in in spvp. For bigger number i am not sure its a good tarn combo.

I’m not saying it should have a lower cooldown. But I will point out that mist form has it’s advantages. It can be traited to give vigor, regeneration, might and to cure a condition. It also breaks stuns. Obsidian flesh has it’s advantages too, mostly because of it’s little opportunity cost.

It’s the strongest invulnerable available in the entire game.
The is the only invulnerable that immune to EVERYTHING (cond/ direct dm/ interrupt, CC, EVERYTHING) while able to do EVERYTHING.
50 CD is incredibly short too. (Even elixer S has 60 CD and lasts only 3 secs and you can’t do anything, same to mist form)

There’s absolutely no reason to buff this strongest skill in the entire game.

With focus fire shield, gale and freezing gust are the abilities I would change. Everything else works fine. Fire shield it just a strange skill, it has a internal cd so you can not get stack mights or place burns on multiple targets. Fire shield is the only aura that does not work well against groups of enemies. Gale should have a longer knockdown or shorter cooldown. Freezing gust should be changed to create a small frost field around the target or be a fast moving projectile that creates a frost field in a line similiar to how you use burning speed.

I think everything has been said in this thread. ATM there is absolutely no point using focus in any situation. CDs are way too long and half of the skills are plain useless.
