Does Stone Splinters work with AoE?

I use a staff build for orr farming where I jump into the thick of the mob, pop arcane shield and use meteor shower, lava font and glyph of storms to tag everything while I’m invulnerable then I use burning retreat to escape. Since I’m within melee range of many mobs I want to know if stone splinters will increase the damage of my AoE skills even if there is no target.

What is Stone Splinters? I haven’t heard of that thing.

It should work. I’ve never tested it, but having a target or not should make no difference.

You could put just a tiny amount of effort in and Google it perhaps?

Not sure whether it will be that beneficial to you, as the skill says the radius is 50 only. Fireball has a radius of 120, and I’m rarely able to hit more than one opponent with it, unless they are cuddling, which is rare.

The wiki makes no sense:

Deal 5% more damage when you are within a distance of 50 of your target.

— In-game description

[edit] Notes
Effective range is 600 units.

How can there be a range of 600 if the effect is on us within 50 from our target? Sounds to me like the notes are altering the in-game description. As for AOE, unless the description specifically makes the distinction, I think we have to assume it does unless it says differently, and it doesn’t,
