What is your favourite race for an ele? I am currently on a lvl 12 Sylvari but I don’t know if I really like the Sylvari so I want some idea of what race fits well with the elementalist.

Race doesn’t matter on this game. It’s completely down to your personal preference and what you think looks the best.

I personally have no interest in playing a non-human character because I dislike how the other races look by comparison. Plenty of others will have different opinions. If you think Sylvari look the best then go for it.

As a Sylvari be careful when you go into fire attunement your hair might wilt away.

Jokes aside… race doesnt really make much of a difference, for any class. There is no advantage of one over another

I personally only play Humans (because Humans look the coolest in most armours, imo) but Asura work, too. Norn are too… Norn for me. I see them as big burly dudes (or dudettes) wielding axes and bows, not mages. Same-ish with Charr. Sylvari could work, too, though there’s something off about a plant shooting lightning and fire from his (or her) hands.

If you make a Sylvari Elementalist, you’ll have the highest access to invulnerability in the game with the cultural skills.

The one thing I would say to watch out for is the voice of the character.

I initially leveled up a male Sylvari Ele, but eventually deleted him due to the whiny, faux British voice triggering every attunement change.

Now I roll as a male Human Ele, and its much easier to listen to.

I have both a female Asura and a female Human. Asura by far have the most amusing ele animations, watching them go is so much fun! But Humans have them beat with the beauty of armors, most human armors are just amazing to look at.

Female Human because of the assets. Female asura because you can make a cute anime looking one.

I personally love my male Asura’s voice acting for Elementalist. Nothing quite beats the combination of “Seems I need to teach you a lesson…” + “Rocks and stones will break your bones!”

In WVW, I prefer Human because of the Reaper of Grenth racial skill. Chill annoys everyone.

as with any class the charr master race triumphs over all.

Human racial elite skills are crazily useful for ele. Human also has the best selection of armor in game.

the default human ele looked like a 10 year old. i didnt really like any of the other races so i went with nord so i could look like a tall human male with sort of a large build and a deep voice, which i am irl. i kind of wish i had changed human to look cool so i could use reaper of grenth though.

no, i’m not hodor lol. humans just seem small in this game. when you walk up to a doorway, the tallest human is about 6/10ths of the size of the regular house door. when i walk into a doorway irl, im about 9/10ths of it. also width wise im not fat or anything but have sort of broad shoulders. im about a regular doorways width, my arms would touch the sides. in this game, the buffest humans again are maybe 6/10ths of it.

a regular door is about 6’8" or 6’6", less than 7 feet tall. honestly i think even the nord is a little smaller than me. humans are like small 4ft asian dude sized.

Female Sylvari for my own tastes. Although, if I had’ve know how darn funny female Asura were beforehand … chances are, I’d have made that my Ele.
