I was just wondering:

What kind of armor does everyone like to run?

I know the effectiveness depends on builds and such, but I’m semi-interested in what everyone else seems to be running. (As I don’t want to jump into investing into a 3rd set just yet due to lack of invisible inventory space)

Currently, I am regretting my investments in Cleric’s and Explorer’s armor, as well as 2/3rds of a Triforge.

I personally am running Rabid and Rampager’s gear in PvE / WvW, and a Rabid Amulet with Rampager Jewel in sPvP. I also have a Berserker’s and Soldier mix set I’m working on for direct-dmg if there is another condi-dmg user in dungeons, but it isn’t quite finished yet.

I have run power, prec, toughness armor for a long time. It is my go to armor for a balance damage build.

I have a mish-mash of temple armor at the moment and have been recently thinking of switching to Invaders (basically Soldiers) because I spend so much time in WvWvW and like being a tank.

Off the top of my head:
- Exotic Valkyrie’s Weapons: Sigil of Accuracy // Sigil of Energy
- Exotic Valkyrie’s Armor: Superior Runes of the Pack
- Exotic Valkyrie’s Trinkets
- Berserker’s Ascended Backpack [Swift Flight?]

I don’t stack huge amounts of precision on gear. Between Food, Oils, Traits, and essentially 100% uptime Fury from Elixir B, Utility Goggles, and Medpack 5 I get up to at least 50% critical chance most of the time and sit at a bit shy of 25k health.

I’m running full Carrion on my e-gun/grenade/bomb build. I’d run Rampager, but I like the extra margin of error I get from that extra bit of Vitality more than I like a few extra crits.

For PvE – berserker’s, always.

They synergy between P/Pri/CriD is too good, the amount of damage you give up equipping any other armor stat is massive. More toughness/vitality won’t save you anyway, all it does is let you be a little more sloppy with your dodges or active defenses.

I don’t PvP, maybe toughness/vit has a place there, I don’t realy know.

I got..clerics,soldiers and rampagers and explorers set on my engie, thinking about making a berserkers later. The way I find it, my clerics armor is awesome for supporting my teammates in fractals who aren’t as good and fall more frequently. Soldiers for when I run dungeons and the others for whenever I feel like being more offensive. Don’t regret what you have bought most armors have their uses.

In WvWvW you don’t have dodges or active defenses against 20+ people. I think the game drops a hint when P/V/T is the only WvWvW specialized armor option.

I have a mixed valkyrie/zerker set, a full tank set, and a rabid set. These days I pretty much only run zerker to roam solo in WvWvW, as suicidal as it sounds, most likely relying on Bandages, main heal, Vigor, CC spam, and Gear Shield to survive.

Armor: P/V/T + Dwayna runes
Jewelry: P/V/T + Sapphire jewels
Weapon: Cleric Pistol/Shield with Bloodlust + Hydromancy sigils (& 2nd Cleric Pistol w/Battle sigil)
Heal: Med kit
Elite: Supply Crate
Utility: Elixir B, Elixir S, Grenades (Tool Kit as needed for magnet pulling enemies)
Traits: 30/0/10/30/0

I used to run full rampagers with nades before damage nerf. But after nerf, I don’t do enough damage to justify glass cannon build. Also, no blink skill makes glass builds tough.
