Guild Wars 2

Creating a new class and chose engi. Anyone have tips and advices? I know about the healing turret combo stuffs. Mostly confused on weapon choices; I heard Engi’s can have up to 4 kits active at the same time? If so, does that mean conventional weaps (pistol/shield/rifle) are unneeded? Also, what stats should I focus on? I would also like to ask for a build that leads up to dungeons please. Thanks in advance !
