Apparently this is an Engi skill according to the Wiki.

It doesn’t appear to be quite such a hard-hitting spell.

I was pretty cannon-y at the time, so I expect to take heavy hits, but is this normal?

Seems to be strange, prolly a Big Ol’ Bomb + Smoke Bomb killed you.

Not a chance this is normal. Smoke bomb does 0 damage, so something else must have happened and it showed up incorrectly in the combat log.

Phantasmal rogues, the mesmer’s DOWNED 3, show up as dealing damage with “smoke bomb” in the combat log IIRC. It hits for double the damage from behind as well.

They’re probably the strongest downed fighters in the game :|

Yup. Smoke bomb is a solid skill for engineers but deals no damage. I’ve had smoke bomb come up on my combat log after fighting mesmers, I didn’t know it was the downed 3.

Flie got hit for 500 x30000 damage Smoke Bombs

I miss the old smoke bomb with recasting blind every 1 second instead of 2 and the range of the entire node.
