This is my other Engineer, Rumzi. I have this storyline going on in my head on how he’s friends with Stug and the odd-couple (between the quirky astute Asura and the gruff old human drunkard) get into whimsical situations.

Could someone help me out on naming my build here? I’m sure it’s been done I just have no idea because I always have trouble getting the links to work here (and yes I copy and paste them and all that stuff). It is the way it is through trial and error in dungeon runs and such.

Traits are: 30(V,VIII,XI)/0/20(V,IX)/20(II,X)/0
Skills are: Elixir H, Grenade Kit, Elixir B, Elixir S, and then for Elite either supply crate or Elixir X

What is a permanent is: Power/Vit/Con on my exotic amulet, and Power/Precision/Toughness for both my exotic rings.
Until I buy/get something better: Rare Charr back warmer(precision/toughness/con, and precision/con/power) and 2 revolutionary flyers (Power/toughness/Vit, and Power/Crit. dam/Vit)

My armor changes between Whisper’s set of the afflicted and Furnace Reward set(the power/precision/toughness set) of the undead.

So what am I?

Can a mod sticky this? This is really really useful. It has all of my favorite builds and it would be really helpful for any new Engineers.

Since this is a thread about builds I thought I’d share mine. The other day I decided I’d make all my characters “tanks”. And for Engineer I plan to run full cleric’s gear with sapphire orbs. 10/0/30/20/10. Pistol/Shield with Bomb kit, Elixir Gun, Elixir C, and Supply Crate.

Explosives III. Inventions I, IX, XI. Alchemy II, IX. Tools IV

Alot of the defense comes from all the healing. Bombs heal, regeneration, different regen while holding a kit, and 2 super elixirs and supplies.

I use this build a lot. Heavy conditions and lots of combo fields and finishers.

I decided to make the least engie looking engie I could and this is what I came up with…I rather like it, but I’m a 20 year old guy so I would lol. For any that may wonder yes those are vigil legs on a level 13. The name is a joke to annoy a guildie! any one that speaks much German should get it.

Here is my engineer, Rachel. Just hit 80 on her a few days ago. I’m still finding new armor combinations that I like – there’s lots of cool looking stuff to get for an engineer!

Here’s my engineer at least in concept (still need the pants as is evident by the preview). However, anyone have advice on gloves? I like the CoE but bit of an issue on color issue in how it dyes and a lot of the other gloves seem a tad short for me x-x

This is my engi… A select set of stuff I put together cuz it looked good.

As soon as my thief obtained that jacket, I knew I had to roll an engineer. Grabbed a set of boots while I was in Orr, transmuted both of them to become account bound, and passed them to a new Canthan-themed engineer (I have a Krytan warrior, Ascalonian mesmer and thief, Elonan guardian, and Canthan elementalist). She’s only level 8, and I’m already contemplating on getting her all of her endgame appearance skins already, haha.

I care alot about my look, especially on charrs.

First one is the pistol/shield build, the second one is the glass cannon rifle build.

Almost done with how my gear set looks, just need boots and pants for the finishing touches!

This is something that I called the Fighter build, it is direct and causes massive condition damage (mostly burn) in a rather short time especially against melee players.

Block an attack in melee range to stun, kick your opponent in the face with the Tool Belt version of Rocket Boots, send him off and spray your poison darts on him. Hit and run with Super Speed, spray your oil on the ground when the opponent gets heavily aggressive.

Protection and the smoke screen from the Flamethrower will wash up a good amount of damage when CC’d and you get to have enough tools to survive, heal yourself, and get back to the fight.

This is a great thread! Thanks for putting up all the builds by category and giving a brief discription. It makes it easy to read and pickout a build that may fit a players playstyle. Great idea!

Just finished getting my P/P build gear, look like a boss.

Finding some decent looking medium armour for an Asura isn’t easy.
