got 8 orbs yesterday after about 9 attempts. used same build as before:
0/0/30/30/10 (ah/emp might/shouts/retaliation)
zerker/knights/ptv combo
save yourselves/hold the line/retreat/renewed focus
staff (strength sigil)/gs (energy sigil)
boon duration runes

Used Staff’s Line of Warding to obstruct adds or GS5 to pull adds away for shard pickup. Also, I used GS 5 to pull multiple adds into the lightwells at the same time.

Empowering Might + Strength sigil + Altruistic Healing provides ample healing from might stacks especially coupled with protection and regeneration from shouts. I was able to maintain about 8-12 stacks from Staff’s autoattack on the adds during phase 2 which helped DPS with this build because I had 2 attempts where I ran out of time.

The attempt I killed her, I had about 18 seconds left before the floor would have dropped.

I’m up to 3 8-orb kills, 16 total. Hopefully this little guide video will help someone.

I just beat her using this wonderful video and guide. I won’t be attempting her on 8 orbs, I am just not up for it, the kill was enough for me.

The only tip I will give is to take breaks. Don’t beat your head against the brick wall with this. I took breaks, went and made coffee, I even tried it on my mesmer for a while.

After I came back from about 50 attempts on my mesmer I got her on the 2nd attempt. I think it was just because it was fresh agian.

Over on my guardian it probably took me about 80 tries. Between my two characters about 120 tires.

It was fun, I’m glad I did it and I welcome more challenges similar to this. But not the same.

In another thread I read about an very easy way to defeat her.
All you need is the Fire Elemental powder or/and the ogre pet whistle. You get her to phase two, then you wait for shadowfall falling down and then you go to the save spot as fast as you can to get enough time. There you summon Fire Elemental/ Ogre pet and immediatly use “Stand your ground” to give Retaliation to it. Liadri will attack your pet and the retaliation will reduce her to 2/3 of her health. Repeat this one or two times and she should be dead.

I didn’t try this method yet, so is somebody here who tried and can confirm that it does / doesn’t work?

Well, I can try out this method today, but isn’t whistle on cooldown? Elemental powder is not on the other hand.

Wow, I forgot consumables are a thing. That elemental does hit pretty hard…

Nice Anet gives guardians one ranged weapon and then makes the orb in Liandri immune to it.

If you mean that you can’t hit the orb with scepter, I had the same problem with longbow on warrior. So it’s probably universal issue

That’s why I just ran melee, heh.

Scepter 2 kills the orb, so does staff symbol. 900 and 1200 range.
