I know there are multiple posts concerning unclassified skills, but I feel like ideas would be best refined if the forum topic is very specific.

Just because certain skills look like they could fit into a category, I think it would still be good to look at alternate options. For example, just because a Tome skill seems very Consecration or Meditation like, it should be assigned to Consecration or Meditation without thought.

How about reanimating or renaming the skill?

Tome of Courage would be replaced by Consecration of Courage. The visuals seem pretty fitting as is, but the book could be replaced with glowing hands, or a very defined/obvious aura signifying that the user is currently ‘equipped’ with Consecration of Courage.
Kind of like the execution of Power Spike (Mantra of Pain), there is a visual that signifies the Power Spike has been used. If you take that visual, tweak it, embellish it, or even expand it across the floor, I think it’d be a very fitting effect for someone with Consecration of Courage.

For Tome of Wrath, I’d think that this could be a spirit weapon. Like Staff of Wrath. Sounds a little underwhelming, so I think if it were Trident of Wrath, it’d sound a little more appropriate for an elite skill (maybe even change it to Staff/Trident of Judgement). And instead of the tome, the guardian would ‘equip’ a Staff/Trident that has the same texture/style as the other spirit weapons. All of the skills would stay.

I ask that y’all play with it a little in your minds and visualize the effects. Perhaps Tome of Wrath would be Bow of Judgement, and Bow of Truth would become Staff/Trident of Truth. All skills would stay, names and animations would change.

With these changes…
-It would eliminate an awkward skill category, one that is only present with elite skills.
-Other build types would be promoted for use, consecrations and spirit weapons if these changes were made. I think we can all agree that Meditation and Shouts are the most viable in PvP situations.
-Another spirit weapon weapon skin (yay).
-Smooth transition with the Guardian’s speculated Elite Spec (Granted it IS a bow of some sort). A counter-argument states that “Bow of Judgement” may potentially damage the uniqueness of Bow-Wielding Guardians.
