Comparison of soldier's melee effectiveness
“Jim’ll Fix It and if he doesn’t it’s not broken”
The thing is, people want this class to be unkillable and still be able to kill everything. I do hate perma-stealth Theives. I hate that I can outplay them so hard and nearly flawless victory them only to have them stealth and run away. Same for Eles. But I’ve come to accept that that’s part of the class.
And i guess this is also where we agree to disagree
I actually want those thieves and eles dead. End.
You just cant go and “accept that its part of your class” dude
Eles and thieves are alwaays gonna fool around with you with that kind of thinking.

I can’t believe this wasn’t mentioned before, but there’s one major flaw in the OP. You’re comparing a class with, just counting melee weapons, two two-handed weapons, three main-hand weapons, and five off-hand weapons, to a class with two two-handed weapons, two main-hand weapons, and three off-hand weapons. Of course warriors are going to have more of any given thing if you’re going to look at it from that skewed perception.
There are also a number of things that guardian weapons can do that warrior weapons cannot. Guardian weapons have heals, whereas warrior heals are only in their utilities with a specific trait. Guardian weapons can condition cleanse. Guardian weapons are much better at dropping combo fields. So on and so forth.
I think what a lot of “you get healing so be happy” people here don’t realize is that there is more than one way to support a group. Direct healing isn’t the pinnacle of support nor should it be, and it definitely should require a class to be bad in every other area. No one wants homogeneity but some sort of parity would be nice considering nearly every other class’s ability spread.
I completely agree. This is what I was saying earlier. Yeah, the professions I listed probably can’t get as much healing done as the Guardian. So what?! They still get access to various effective ways of supporting their allies and get all the snares they’re used to. That is the point of this thread (specifically in regard to Warrior), not, “Everybody can heal just as well as Guardians! Haha!”
I’ve said it about twice or thrice in here now, why does having good support mean no snares?! You have to build and gear to make the heals useful anyway and we have a trade-off in place already for the high heals and that’s the lowest kitten health in the game and the laughable ranged damage. What is the complete lack of snares a trade-off for?

I don’t understand why the healing part of support is even mentioned here. We heal other classes for very little, AH keeps ourselves alive, no one else. It’s been stated before, Warriors shouts when specced without HP give more healing than Guardians.
