Aim for Power, then POWER precision, then POWER precision ferocity, as they become available. That will give you the most bang for your buck as a DPS spec.

I suspect OffedPez has written Power in capitals to express that you should gear with Power as its main attribute, meaning it’s higher than the other bonuses.
And yes, follow his advice.

Before you spend too much time on your “DPS Guardian” realize that it will be expected from Guardians to bring defensive support in group play. If you just want to smash things and give your team offensive support or no support try out Warrior or Thief.

Like the other posters already mentioned:
Power = main stat
precision and ferocity = secundary stats

This covers everything you need to know. Even food types that you should use to maximize dmg output.

This is not entirely true. The guardian is expected to bring some sort of defence in some situations like stability or reflect. When i run dungeons with zerk groups i never bring party healing. Because everyone is Berzerker (most of the time) monsters drop like flies. you should have enough with 3 aegis. Guardians just need to know what enemy does most damage with what skill and aegis on these skills.

After ALOT dungeon runs defensive support is not required most of the time. And gear doesn’t change the duration of wall or hollowed ground..

Well in PvP I use the meditation guard build. That’s what I plan on using when I get to 80. How do I bring team support with that? And I did play a thief to 36 and found it garbage lol.

Defensive Support = Wall of Reflection, Hallowed Ground, Purging Flames, “Retreat!”, “Stand your Ground!”, Virtue of Courage, and to a lesser degree Shield of the Avenger, Absolute Resolution and perma-Protection from Hammer

The Guardian’s defensive support is certainly not necessary to finish most dungeons, but it makes them much less error-prone.

I expected a build like that when you said “DPS Guardian”. Meditations are rather bad in group play, you’ll help your team (and yourself) much better with the skills I’ve listed above.

Just think of PvP and PvE as two different things. In PvP, it’s fine to go out and be a true dps meditation guardian. In PvE they don’t work as well. With a group, you’ll want to support them through some of the list of defensive support DesertRose listed off. Of course, it’s all situational and you need to know when to use what and when, and then maximize the dps you can do.

As a guardian though, you will be expected to have Wall of Reflection when needed. Don’t be afraid to ask the group when you should use it if you don’t know what to use it on.
