Hey folks -

So I’ve gotten back to the game after a year long absence. I was a Greatsword Guardian, and – uhh – things have changed.

One of the more annoying changes is GS3 (“Leap of Faith”) constantly goes careening off to a random target outside of the group of mobs that I’m hitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME. So I then miss the attack and mass blind.

Anyone have any idea why this keeps happening to me? I’ve tried playing with the autotargetting, but that doesn’t seem to affect GS3 at all. If I don’t specifically target a mob in the group I’m attacking, the GS3 ability will send me flying as far away from the group as possible.

It sounds like you are not targeting the mob you are aiming for. I have the problem every once in a while, but then I notice my target ring isn’t on anything I was planning on attacking. Auto targeting chooses the closest enemy to you, and that doesn’t necessarily mean the closest one in front of you.

Unfortunately, the 3 skill tends to send me careening toward a mob that’s far away from me. Often one that’s not even attacking me, causing me to draw adds.

Meanwhile the mobs I’ve been attacking in combat with my 1 skill are completely ignored by the 3 skill, unless I specifically remember to click them first. I don’t understand why I have to instruct the 3 skill to target the same mob I’m targeting with my 1 skill.

…..yeah, that still doesn’t correct the issue. As I noted. My guardian still goes after a random target – usually one somewhere in front of him.
