there are a few ways to be mobile, namely:
1) Swiftness – Symbol of Swiftness (Staff #3), Retreat (Shout) and Save Yourselves (Shout) and if you trait for boon duration, which you might since you’re into boon giving, you can achieve “perma-swiftness”
2) Leaps – Leap of Faith (Greatsword #3); some even consider Mighty Blow (Hammer #2, also one of our hardest hitting skills) a leap, but it’s range is only 300 so not exactly lol
3) Teleports – Flashing blade (Sword #2) and one of my absolute favorites in WvW is Judge’s Intervention, with 1200 range! (Meditation skill)
so having greatsword and sword/combo would allow you to do something like that. you can port in, do your dmg, and then after you’ve caused your ruckus, you can get back out and help your team to clean stuff up.
side note, another few skills noteworthy that can aid in helping you withstand attacks (apart from our innate ability to survive) or getting back out from the middle of an enemy zerg:
1) Shelter (Heal skill) – heals with a 2 second block
2) Renewed Focus (Elite skill) – 3 seconds of invulnerability while refreshing all of your virtues. know that if you havne’t used all your virtues, you can spam them while your invuln. is channeling to get the most out of it
3) if traited, your Virtue of Justice (F1) can AoE blind, Virtue of Resolve (F2) gives you a small heal and regen, Virtue of Courage (F3) gives you one more block and even stability. so you can see using renewed focus can be pretty strong. while helping your survive an onslaught of focus fire.
and in terms of boons, there are multiple ways to do that. one obviously is via shouts, a lot of self combos and a blast finisher on a short CD helps (might blow) as well as your various consecrations that provide much added utility in WvW.
