These builds proved to me and my friends that the strength runes are totally useless, because all the fights last less then 35 seconds with a decent DPS group.

EDIT: The point here is to see the Runes not the traits or the gear.
Flame Legion runes instead of Strength.

I tried the supportive on today’s dungeons with my friends.
I was using almost the same traits with ogre runes and i have to say that i was a bit disappointed, because pre-patch we needed about 1h and 40 min to complete AC/COF/SE/COE , but after patch we needed more than 2h everyday.
Mow that our eles and our guardian (me) used flame legion, our runs were faster and we finished them in 1h and 40 min again.
Thanks for the heads up and for showing us the flame legion runes!
I hope people will find out more cheap runes like this which will help us make the runs faster.
Not Everyone is capeable of buying strength runes i’m afraid.

I was looking for cheaper way to run dungeons with same DPS as with Runes of Strength.
I hope more people try these builds and buy Flame Legion runes at least for Elementalist and Guardian as a cheap alternative of Strength Runes.

May i ask your opinion on Hoelbrak Runes for a Cheap alternative (until Flame LEgion or Strength)

If we are speaking for speed clearing dungeons:
Rune of Strength gives 7% damage under the effect of might
Rune of the Flame Legion gives 7% damage when enemy is burning
Rune of Hoelbrak gives only might duration and it’s a lot more expensive than Flame Legion.
Also as i posted on the first post, u dont need the might duration if you have a decent speed clearing group.

Hoelbrak is best used as an in between for melandru and strength runes. They fit much better in a wvw scenario.

You could try runes of privateer if you want the might, but there’s nothing really for the condition reduction. The bird is closer to a ranger pet than anything else, and can hit around 1-2k. Those should be around the 2s range iirc.

Mate i posted above these are dungeon and fractal builds.
They dont fit in wvw at all.

I would love to know why you want Powerful Blades with a Hammer + GS Build.

So you switch for the Radiant Fire, the torch trait, LOL
Just remove 10 point from there and add somewhere else or add some signet to the utility and use a signet trait

The torch trait adds also burn duration, which is also damage.

There may be no good major trait at the master level for such a build, but going below 25 Radiance would be even more stupid than taking whatever suboptimal trait in the master.

Yup the Torch trait is pretty standard for Guardian DPS build that is not using a sword. You absolutely want the 10% dmg against foe on fire from 25pts into radiance. That’s a huge DPS increase (better than any 10pts you would want to put somewhere else). Also, signet is really not a good idea. The shelter is just too good as a additional block (I more often use my healing skill as a block, than as a healing skill).

@ Spot. I switch a lot between Gs + Sw/F and Gs + Hammer build. Usually, when I’m on my Gs + H build I use 3/5/0/4/2. This way I only need to switch the trait in Virtues to Master of Consecration when i need support (CM, TA, SE, Arah, Fractals) or to Unscathed Contender when i don’t need support for more DPS (AC, CoF, CoE). I’m lazy and don’t want to change build completely each time. I’m also not a fan of going 5pts into virtues. Power of Vitures usualy only give you 2-5% damage and Absolute Resolution is more about your own survivability than support. I prefer not losing the reduce cooldown on my retreat and the 2sec of symbol for constant protection. I like this support better, but at this point these are all good build, with good dps. Better choose what you prefer to play.

And btw nice job about the flame legion rune. I prefer to stay with my Scholar Runes myself (strength only for my might stacking Ele), but still that a really good options for a lot of people. I will definitively talk about that to other people in my guild that don’t have too much gold.
