GW2: Velocity [VcY]
Guardians need a fourth virtue for mobilty
GW2: Velocity [VcY]
a joy:five Guardians say they no mobilty.
I’ve said this from the begining, along w/ many other people, and I’ll state it again….
We need a ~Reliable~ Chill/Cripple.
NOT some craptastic % Based ability, that’s bound to 1 freak’n weapon.
End of Story.
check my thread that i posted above, maybe anet will listen :>
GW2: Velocity [VcY]
Warriors said hi.
While i disagree with OP that guardians are weak in pvp, I also disagree with warriors being weak in pvp. I own with my warriors quite a bit personally. Our burst damage is very effective.
I feel guardians are underpowered for this area. To make a decent build you have to sacrifice the shout mobilities in order to be hard enough to duel. Staff guardians were created with support in mind. Guardians need a forth virtue what can be triggered lower than resolve/aegis what teleports to he target something like virtue of intervention. Guardians have none increased movement speed trait as of this moment. I run a fairly if not most mobile build but it comes up short constantly in duels or 1v1. I find myself chasing as I use sword and shield I have stun breakers but the imbolization we have is far to short for what we deal with. Guardians are one of the most pvp underpowered classes in the game.

Cant tell if trolling. You have 100% uptime swiftness if you want it, why complain? Guardians can chase easily if they want to as well. You have teleports for a reason. You also have gap closers, immobilizes. Also always come out on top as best Heavy Armour profession. end of thread

Wow you made some really logical, well thought out points there. /facepalm
Why do I need to point them out over and over again? Why dont you ask why this conversation is even started. Otherwise, why dont you add something useful to the thread, Mr. KnowsItAll?

Yes I want you to “point them out over and over again”, oh wait you haven’t actually contributed anything to this thread. I just went through every post so far, you are a liar.
You provided no arguments beyond the typical “I feel this way so it must be right because I feel it”. In short, GTFO or make a valid argument like the rest of us have.
As a warning this was your only warning post. In the next one I won’t be nice. I can’t stand ignorance, but more importantly I can’t stand those that choose to remain ignorant.
edit: Realized the guy was just a liar, so I called him on it.

And this post and the previous to Maketso was actually meaningful to the thread?
Go find a mirror, Mr. Pot. Oh, have you met Mr. Kettle btw?
This is still the class that can teleport 1200 and put someone in a circle they can’t walk out of, right?
Yeah, and we should call it virtue of the angel. We grow wings out of our back that carry us 10% faster passively
Joke
I make PvP & WvW videos

/1 second cast time
/stability
/can still dodge out of it
yay buggy wardings! lol
As I said, I think guardians have a good amount of cc/mobility, the issue is that we have to literally string almost everything together to do it, which leaves us with alot of downtime where those skills just are not up, or are flawed and easily escapable.

You can actually be very mobile in fight as guard. Problem is you have to give up alot to do it. Retreat has been a favorite of mine for long time because without it I find myself not even able to hit people after I use my teleports. The problem then is using JI and Retreat leaving only 1 slot. That slot almost aways being filled with CoP or SYS or SYG. I feel really limited in my choices in order to simply be able to hit people. All classes should have been given a 25% movement signet.
I’m definately not for getting a mobility buff. If we did get one, that just means we’d have to give something up to get it in order for it to be balanced. No thank you.
As others have posted, you can get near perma swiftness even without a boon duration build or the company of a zerg. If you’re needing mobility in the first place, it’s mostly just for getting from A to B quickly. Once there at B, its quite easy to switch back to your combat skills/weapons.
