I don’t play much of the above game types, I’m looking to start playing more of them.

Is this right?

For zerg wvw:
0/0/30/30/10, selfish pvt gear, selfish melandru runes, lemongrass poulty soup.
(Basically selfish survival is key in a blob).

For team based gvg:
0/0/10/30/30, cleric gear, soldier runes, lemongrass poulty soup.

Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

Is sentinel gear preferred over pvt?

Lots of guides but the general rule is that you chose gear and build so you dont become a rezbot for the other team. Personal survivability isnt selfish in the pvpformats in this game.

So chose gear based on:
Skill
opponents
Terrain
Objective
Playstyle
your role in the group.
Etc

Biggest question right now is runes. For selfish zero play melandru seems best. Shame about run speed though.

In a solo/roamer/small group surrounding they might be best.

In any other format i would go for boon duration or soldiers.

I use all three and travelers ofc but for different situations. So how do you intend to play? That should/could dictate what to use.

Personally not understanding why you are such, especially if you are talking GvGing…given GvGing infers that you are part of a hardcore or dedicated WvW guild. As such, does NOT your WvW guild have guild builds for typical zerging and GvGing?

We are fairly casual actually, still have a lot to learn and no there are not predetermined builds.

Zerg play: PTV weapon, PTV armor /w boon duration runes zerk/PTV accessories. adjust accessories the way you see fit and depending how tough it gets.

GvG play: Cleric and boon duration runes.

You have the specs down as it is. Don’t bother with soldier runes, you will be running at least a consecration if not 2, boon duration works out much more nicely.
