Guild Wars 2

I crafted my self a Berserker Rare set and was wondering what kind of gems to put on it. Also what rings/amulets/earings. I see people posting they have 50% crit but how are they getting that high a value.

I used GS mainly and switch to sword/focus for veterans. Not logged in right now to post my build I do know I have 30 in Honor and I think its 20 in radiance.

Could be my build is way off also.

If you use trinkets (ring, amulets and accessories) you can easily reach a 50% crit damage.

For the runes, I’d suggest you get in the Heart of the Mists, and buy each of one from the vendor and deposit them in your collection bank. Then you can check them side by side and all their bonuses, and after finding one you like, look for it in the PvE (you can find most in the TP).

You can either focus on something you already have, like extra Precision and Crit Damage if that’s what you want highest, or pick something to help a deficiency in your build, like Vit and Regen if you don’t have any.

Same for Traits, pick something to focus on your gear, or invest everything in something.

For example, I bought a Valkyrie set (Power, Vit and Crit Damage).
I have 10% crit chance base + 5% from the Sigil. My crit damage is 60% with Valor 1.
I got Zeal 3 and Honor 3.
I rarely crit, but when I do I get 3kish and up (it’s awesome!). And I like pure Power for my damaging skills, and Honor for the boons/heals.

I could switch my traits for Radiance and boons on crit, since I’ll have about 50% crit (15% from Radiance, 15% from One Handed Strength, 10% base + 2 sigils) and with a crit damage so high, I think it’ll be worth it even if my gear doesn’t have any precision on it.

Or I could just get a Berserker, put everything into Zeal, Radiance and Valor, get 70% crit chance and 70% crit damage… but that means I’ll have no AoE boons or the utilities I like, so that’s a no for me =p
