Guild Wars 2

I am new to GW2 and I would like some advice on a build for my guardian. I have spent a couple hours searching and all I can seem to find are hammer or greatsword builds. My playstyle for a guardian would be more like a 1h/shield. Kind of like a “tanky paladin” I guess you could say. It’s just how I see a guardian. I would lean more towards warrior if I wanted to play a 2h build. So, does anyone have a good 1h/shield build? I do play with a friend who usually plays a DPS class, but I would like to be able to do some decent damage as well as be “tanky” because I do play solo sometimes and don’t want to have to spend hours beating on one mob. Lol I hope someone can help. Thanks.

If u play pve mostly anything works on guardian if u know when to evade or block, as i usually say in pve anything works…

if u want something like 0-0-30-30-10 mace\shield with zerker gear or cleric for better recover damage taken by champs.

For trait and runes you migh like soldier+shouts+pure of voice, you will get 2 conditions removed +1 tranformed into boon and this is per shout, other than this proly a soldier armor with boon duration runes.
