So uhm… There’s probably a post for this already (there /has/ to be, but when I searched “Retreat” I had about 50 pages to go through, probably more since the forums limit it to 50 pages until you get to said 50), but could we just rename the “Retreat!” skill? Perhaps to something less… depressing (bad word choice)? Retreat would imply that we’re (or just me, in my Guard’s case; I guess he likes barking orders at himself and the odd comrade here and there) losing the battle and we’re having to fall back — to flee from our enemies. But like… Surely we could have it be something a little more inspiring, right? Maybe “Onwards!” or “For Glory!” (even if that sounds a bit more fitting for a Warrior than it does a Guard). Yeah? Sound good? Yes?

(This is, of course, somewhat of a joke thread. As much as I’d like them to change the “Retreat!” skill to something more fitting, I’m sure they have more than enough on their hands — a la Patches/Heart of Thorns — than to redo the skill text, reacquire all the voice actors, and re-record all the dialog. All because one person — or a small venue of people — think that it’s somewhat annoying — or unfitting, considering that all the other shouts are fairly inspiring, with the exception of “Save Yourselves!” — that his character shouts “Retreat!” in the stead of something else.)

Since the shout gives swiftness besides our beloved aegis, I would simply suggest “Charge!” (or may be “Charrge”, for charr guards ).

He’s either trolling or talking about PvP. At least I hope because if he’s talking seriously about PvE, he have a lot to learn about guardian lol.
