That is all I ask.
Isn’t changing the PvP meta the main reason they’re doing a balance patch in the first place?
If you look at the leaked balance changes and Sharp’s post you will see that nothing is being done about the condition meta, unless you count adding some condition removal to an already useless skill.
Conditions in this game have fundamental flaws that are made worse by Arena Net’s poor design decisions. For example, the PoV “bug” was nice because through Arena Net’s infinite wisdom they decided to put small conditions like a bleed stack on the autoattack for many condition heavy weapon sets.

Originally they were going to limit how much boons and conditions stacked at 5 in this patch. Which could be helpful as the 25 stacks of vulnerability and bleeding are not pleasant. But this seems to have fallen off their radar. Maybe it was too big a change.
Either way. The Dev’s need to reign this really skillless meta in.
If they change pv without changing the absurd rate at which conditions can be added its not going to be fun.

Thank you Anet for breaking one of the best skill of Guardians, seriously everyone use POV for the conditions cleaning in PVE, WvW and even PVP and this fix will kill the class, this is STUPID! How can you buff the warriors even more so they can support better than us and nerf one of the best skill trait for guardians?! Warriors have more HP, more resistance to conditions, more Dmg, more passive healing etc.This is one of the most stupid idea ever, Anet is killing the Guardians just like they did for Elementalists…
:3 The build will remain viable and as it should be. Been a shout guardian prior to this bug and will continue to remain long after.

That change only applies to duration stacking boons and conditions, not intensity.

ANet is such a terrible company for fixing their bugs… Some people make no sense.
Did it ever occur to some of you know it alls, that perhaps ANet is planning to fight the condi meta with this next update, or were you too busy crying to hear that?
It s funny how people perceive conditions. It s something that you should just be able to click away when it s applied. But it s a skill a player used and it should have an effect and do dmg like when you hit someone with a hammer, he has to counter that dmg with a heal that is probably on a 25sec timer. This fix will do wvw only good, with it s current tank train meta. I ve been playing a guard for over a month now and I have to say in its current state it is an incredible strong trait combined with the short cooldowns the shouts have, certainly compared to what other classes have(xept warrior who now have basicly on demand removal) . I ve been abusing this since i got to 80 together with AH and prety offensiv gear with great success and I do agree with the fix

I agree with the fix for a bug however in the grand scheme of things if they only plan to reduce the number of ‘stackable applications’ for duration stacking conditions to 5 then this is still a nerf. It might be an indirect nerf as it is a fix however in the current Meta it’s still a nerf.
However the rate that some classes (Condition Engi and Necro cough) can apply conditions I don’t think this’ll be as damaging as some people may think. What is flawed is the Game itself at the moment. Until the PvP/WvW issues are addressed changes like this are just teardrops to an ocean; they’ll make their ripples but quickly become part of the big picture and disappear.
