Which build and gear for PvE and Dungeons?
If you go full zerker, toughness doesn’t matter since you roll out of lethal attacks, and boons/cond removal doesn’t matter since combat ends too fast.
Go full zerker.

Ok, but, what about traits and weapons choices?
10/30/30/0/0
I use II in zeal (10%+ damage vs. burning foes), II/VI/XI on radiance (signets recharge 20% faster, blind gives 3 vuln stacks, 1h weapons have 15%+ crit chance) and IV/VI/XI on valor. Most of the valor traits are awful but it gives me higher toughness and precision and altruistic healing is just awesome anyway.
It’s always good to carry all guardian weapons with you (except torch in my opinion) but I mostly use greatsword + sword/focus (hence the 1h strength trait I use in radiance) because it leaves me with 83% crit chance. Always carry scepter for a ranged option, staff has its uses before battle if you want to give 12 stacks of might to yourself and allies and hammer is useful against a boss like Subject Alpha if you find yourself in a pug that isn’t full zerk themselves.
To get a ton of damage, put up your shield with your focus, use save yourselves for fury (103% crit chance), teleport to your enemy giving them blind and 3 vuln stacks with your 1h sword, activate virtue of justice making them burn and an extra 3 vuln stacks, use zealot’s defense, leap of faith for 3 more vuln stacks then use whirling wrath. Your shield will have probably detonated by then dealing them anything from a 5 to a 9k crit along with your 6-9k burst from zealot’s defense and your 7k or so whirling wrath which is enough to kill basically anything that isn’t a vet, but a vet will just melt away shortly afterwards.
Sword + focus & gs is great in dungeons because of the fact that it gives you access to four blinds (along with the 12 vuln stacks) from your virtue, your 1h sword teleport, ray of judgment (4 on focus) and your leap of faith on gs which can keep the pressure from dungeon mobs off you and basically functions as armour for you since their attacks will just miss rather than you sponging. Then when you kill a mob your virtue of justice recharges, so you just drop it again causing AOE blind which then lets you “block” another attack.

Wow, this looks amazing and way more fun than the way i’m playing now. So, for gear, full berserker everything?
eeeeeeverything

Yes, gear full zerker. However, I personally would not take a 10/30/30/0/0 build, but instead 10/25+x/0/25+x/x. Even though the 30 points in valor will probably yield a bit more damage for yourself in most cases, such a build is too self-centered. Honor offers great support for the group and, looking at a group as a whole, will probably have more total damage because of the EM might stacks.

I don’t really feel the supportive carebear traits are really worth missing out on 370 toughness, 30% crit damage and altruistic healing most of all which actually gives you some staying power and turns your symbol of wrath from your gs actually in to a second heal. (i don’t know why there’s underlining)

Of course, that’s something everyone needs to decide for himself. I just wanted to show the other aspect of DPS builds. Besides, AH without EM and/or hammer does not sound too attractive to me.

I run 10/25/0/25/10 w/ berserker gears/trinkets. 10 pts in virtue (master of conseration) is very good for arah & fotm 40s. When not in those areas, trait it to Unscathed Contender for 20% more damage under aegis. (Spam VoC, RT)
Always try to achieve 50% of critical chance & 70% critical damage before buffs while you mixing this and that.
