is torch viable for Dungeon Guardian?
torch is garbage, same tier as shield… almost no one uses them.
You have an abundance of better alternatives to anything torch provides. Of course if you find what focus provides is not that essential to your playstyle you can use any offhand you like.
The Torch isn’t absolutely terrible, but pretty much all the alternatives are better. It’s a shame really.

shield gives you extra toughness and some party wide protection boon on demand. I dont use shield 5 so much except for some emergency room to res someone who got swamped. Focus is nice to survive initial push. I’d use torch if torch 5 can remove your own conditions.

Torch is good if you don’t need the blind or block from focus.
That being said, in the vast majority of situations the blind or block from focus is superior to the extra DPS torch can provide.
