Has anyone tried these runes with a 20/20/30 condition setup? Perplexity seems really hard to give up for these.

I cannot overstate how much of a quality of life improvement these runes are in WvW. It makes running all over the map a breeze. I don’t have to be always waiting for the focus cooldown or be worried about catching other peoples’ swiftness buffs. And now I can equip other weapons besides focus :P

I switched from perplex to traveler, I’ve never been happier. Condi and boon duration, less condi dmg but more vit and though is ok. But the move speed indeed does make up for it.

I switched to 20/30/20/0/0 with assassin exotics a nd rampager/berserker ascended with travelerrunes. I’d never thought GS and Staff would work, but I’m having blast, blasting everybody away

Sigh, If only speculators hadn’t made these runes kinda expensive.

I’ll get a set after getting T3, SAB related gemstore purchases. It’ll eork wonders for my WvW condition set, which would boost myeffectiveness even moreso than perplexity since the movement speed in some form really is a must, and its overall boosts are better than centaur runes for more builds lol.

Stop talking about how great traveler rune is!

Last night my character physically killed one of her clones and just stood there, smiling, over the corpse. “Go ahead, do let me use speed runes. This is what I’ll look every single encounter”.

It’s pretty stupid I have to get runes and kitten my damage to be able to move like most others.

These are great but I am not about to sacrifice Runes of Perplexity for them. I’ll just be slow and suck it up.

Well at least we don’t need to devote an offhand or utility slot to speed abilities like the other classes, so we shouldn’t complain if we elect to use this rune.

Best runes ever! I cannot believe how fast I go :p I can keep up with my husband who has a signet speed boost now lol

I for one am very happy with this rune set. Previously used Runes of Divinity.

Like many posters here, the use in WvW out weighs any negatives to it. Finally, we no longer have to use a specific weapon just to keep up with the group, while hoping and praying the group doesn’t get so far ahead we get left behind. Even small group/roaming the rune is a great boon to the class, no longer are we regulated to letting people always escape from us or having no ways of escape simply because we could always be run down.

Short and sweet: For WvW, all Mesmer should seriously consider getting this rune set. For other focused types, it should be considered but you may have better options depending on build.
