Glamour/Mantra Support Build on GW2Skills

I have recently hit 80 and have been wanting to create a build around my favorite weapons the scepter and torch. This build is mainly focused on providing some support through buffs, healing, and condition removal, and it is meant more for fun/enjoyment over being cutting edge; however, I would still like to fine tune it to the best it can be! I am looking at utilizing it with a some fellow guild members as we work on clearing dungeons and do living-story events together.

The general playstyle is to have Mantra of Pain on auto-cast to maintain the healing from the cast through Restorative Mantras and to maintain as high an uptime on Protected Mantras as possible.

To compliment this I am utilizing a condition glamour build to assist in stacking confusion —and subsequently damage-- alongside my healing. With picking up Blinding Befuddlement it allows my Torch skill to blind, confuse, and immolate enemies in an AoE radius, also I thought utilizing Superior Rune of the Flock would allow me to have an additional blind/confusion through the birds attack while also providing me with some additional AoE healing when my mantras are cast —I haven’t tested to see if the bird’s attack will blind and confuse or not and was hoping someone could clarify that for me.

Additionally the glamour fields allow me to combo with the torch to grant AoE Chaos Armor and AoE Retaliation as needed through Null Field, Veil, Temporal Curtain, and Time Warp and utilize Phantasmal Warden inside an Ethereal field to stack confusion.

Potential changes would be to go -20 Dueling and picking up +20 in Domination to get Halting Strike and Confusing Enchantments to take the build to a more offensive stance.

While I understand this build might not be the ‘viable’ build, it is one that I am enjoying playing during Queen’s Jubilee and would just like some input from more experienced Mesmers on what I could do to improve it and make it more effective!

I cant say much for the condition damage (though it looks set up pretty well IMO), but it looks pretty solid on the support side. Good stuff. The only potential problem is that I could see it falling behind damage-wise in dungeons, but even then you bring all kinds of utility along with those nice burst heals… So I don’t think you’ll have much problem with it in most situations, especially if you’re having fun.

Looks quite solid.

Some suggestions:

• Get rid of medic feedback and use glamour mastery. It really helps with the CDs.
• You might consider picking feedback instead of veil. The CD of veil is way too high. Feedback also is quite nice in certain dungeons or fractals (e.g. dredges).
• Pick a different rune on your offhand. The +burn duration does not add up to a full second (or the build editor does not display it). Endurance on weaponswap or +crit for gaining vigor more often might be nice.
