Hi

Some of you will remember the old GW1 All Mesmer meets and teams that met weekly for many years at the Deldrimor War Camp.

I’ve been really keen to restart these in GW2 and have been waiting for guesting to arrive to make them game wide as the original ones were. Since guesting is not here yet I’ve decided to start them up anyway and carry on when it is.

So, What’s it all about?

Quite simply bring your Mesmer to Divinities Reach, at the Lyssa Waypoint on Friday 30th November at 21:00 GMT. Join in the chat, banter and then team up to do whatever content you want to have a go at.

Don’t forget to take screenies though

All being well we’ll make this a weekly event

Me and my guild have done a few all Mesmer test runs, including fractals and dungeons and we’re confident no content is too hard for purple butterflies, legions of clones or a plethora of portals

Let’s put the ‘all professions can do anything’ to the test, kick start the Mesmer community and have fun doing so

So glad i swapped over to Gandara this week (it was free for some reason) I’ll be there! Looking forward to find some awesome looking outfits on mesmers, and hopefully find some stuff i can strive for to get myself.

I’d just like to give this thread a ‘bump’ and attest to how great these profession-events can become. I was one of those Mesmers who, back in 2005 onwards would occasionally meet others in DWC for Slavers runs and other missions. This was back when the Mesmer profession was in dire need of some support and acceptance from the GW community. If you think the GW2 Mesmer is a bit rough-around-the-edges then no doubt you’d gasp in horror at the initial incarnation of the GW1 Mesmer.

Meeting up with others of a similar persuasion bolstered profession morale and hints, tips, tricks and builds were shared for the betterment of the whole Mesmer community. It was certainly the place to be whenever you were a bit unsure of what your profession was capable of. THK HM/bonus with 8 IW Mesmers?! Yes please!

So please – if you can attend this event show up and give your support. The Mesmer community in GW1 was a complete gem and if only a fraction of that can be brought back for GW2, the profession as a whole will be in a great position, regardless of future changes to it. I’m very happy on my current server (Far Shiverpeaks), but as soon as this guesting feature becomes available, I’ll be over there in a flash.

I’m really interested for this. Too bad I have work Friday night but I’ll try to be there. At least 22:00 GMT. Hopefully I’ll be able to find you guys if I get there late.

You can join me at northern shiverpeaks if you want to do this and you’re from this server. I’ll be there at the same time and place, but in my server.

Thought I’d give this a bump since it’s such a cool idea. Sadly I won’t be able to take part as I’m not on Gandara, but when guesting is in I can’t wait to see how many mesmers we can get in one place. Probably the most fun I’ve ever had in this game was a random PuG for SE exp that ended up being 5 mesmers entirely by chance. Near constant Feedback in a dungeon with so many ranged enemies is a beautiful sight, I can tell you that.

This feels like a trap

I enjoy ideas like this. On all games I have played I really loved teaming up with other classes of the same and going out doing stuff together. FFXI – blue mage party. WOW – feral party.

Sadly I’m not on your server and no guesting..

Every server could make their own meetings for the palyers that cannot move.

hey… I really loved mesmer gatherings in GW2 can we make it cycle event… every friday 21 GMT ?

Problem is i guess servers… im on blacktide
