I believe blurred frenzy also used to protect from condi damag (i.e. no ticks of bleeding while blurring). that is also gone.

That is incorrect. If you had conditions on you, they would still tick.

Sorry Pyro, but during invulnerability 2 seconds the conditions do not tick giving you 2 extra seconds for healing. Afterwards the conditions continual to tick if they do not time out.

Frenzy change completely sucks, I’m now afraid of going melee because you’ll never know when some kitten mob interrupt it.
Good job anet, nerfing pve melee mesmers for esports sake is just ridiculous. Why couldn’t they split it like they did for guardians? Is that so hard?

do you really believe they even test the changes they make? look at the claw of jormag. the whole fight is completely borked (he heals during phase transition, the pillars spawn twice, first time with little health, the ice field is nowhere near where you already get your debuff, pillars AoE stays after pillars are down) half of which was introduced this patch. they changed a world boss fight and left such obvious errors in even a single testrun would’ve shown them. it’s not some kind of hidden bug which only happens under special circumstances.

BF was on the strong side. a DMG nerf would’ve been a good way to make it a bit more balanced. touching the invuln part though was completely unnecessary. mesmer is still a cloth class and has to have some form of dmg avoidance. we can’t just go invis for hours if we meet a stronger opponent.
the patch had some decent updates (more condi removal for warri was badly needed and it was a good idea to tie it to adrenalin), but as usual some changes look as though a child in kindergarden played around without any understanding of the effects.

I really think that blurred frenzy deserve a damage buff since it got a cooldown increase. The damage is really pathetic compared to whirlwind attack (warrior) and the damage is dealt within a shorter period of time as compared to blurred frenzy.

I wish they didn’t nerf the cooldown, I’m ok with the retaliation working but retal + cooldown? jesus.. They keep killing viable builds. Only decent build left forces you to use greatsword.

keep in mind that retaliation damage is not working properly in wvw borderlands. it’s currently doing about double the damage it should be.

The changes to Blurred Frenzy are a big joke.
When I’m in PvP, knockbacks and fear still hit me, so it’s even worse than your typical dodge. These changes go far beyond making us take retaliation damage. I’d like to know whether all of this was wanted, or they messed it up. If they messed it up I’m sure we can wait 3 months for a fix.

The real nerf on BF is mechanic and CD. I don t play a lot in pve, or in spvp, but WvWvW in higher tier, ( really big fight40+v40+), there is no way to use BF anymore. Before patch high risk and high reward. Now it s suicide.

A this time i can t see how to have a gameplay like we had before and be efficient for our warband. We ll never go in the middle of the fight with scepter…

This in my book was an unnecessary nerf, Jesus it’s hard enough as a Mesmer on the battlefield. Our DPS isn’t the best and its only down to the odd little trick like this I surive longer than ten minutes.

The change to Blurry Frenzy was overdone. Increasing the CD was acceptable. Changing it to an evade made it much more useless. Doing both plus making IC almost impossible to get unless you put 25 points into Illusions was overkill.
