“Hey everyone! So took the time to construct a new elite specialization for us mesmers in hopes that one day or possibly next expansion we’d be able to have a new variety with weapon choices. This new tree of skills is inspired by a few skills from previous guild wars Mesmer skills and with a dash of bayonetta. This elites primary focus is based around power, condition damage, cc, boon removal and a little sustain.
When creating this I think my most favourite part was the mechanic. It’s basically what you see the bloodstone mesmers currently in game have where you have to break their illusion to reveal themselves. There’s always room for improvement but I hope you guys like what I was able to muster!"
Pistol Elite Specialization
MECHANIC
Illusion Form Whenever your illusions attack, they fill your illusion bar by X%. When the bar is full, you may cast a greater illusion over you. The Illusion will slowly reveal your true self every second until the bar is empty and you are forced out, for a total of 20 seconds.Your damage is reduced by X% (but not of your phantasms or clones) but any damage you take is afflicted to the illusion form instead until it breaks. The base size of the illusion form is X% of your maximum health. 20s cooldown

Shot 1 = Deals XXX damage.

Shot 2 = Deals XXX damage.
x2 stacks of Confusion (3s)
Shot 3 = Deals XXX damage. Deals additional damage to the target if they have boons.

Shot 2 = Deals XXX damage and causes an illusion to split from you, which fires Shots 1 & 2 from Pistol Skill 1.

You’re able to equip pistols in your main hand and gain an illusion form.

Your pistol skills have increased condition duration: 20%

Your tricks grant 2 random boons for (5s).

Minor Trait
3 or more stacks of Confusion on an enemy increases your condition damage by 50.

Your dodge is replaced with XXXX, you unload a rapid fire (x3) at your target dealing XXX damage and granting you chaos armor (5s).
Major Trait
Your dodge is replaced with XXXX, you gain stability (2s) and reduce movement impairing effects by 99% for (2s).
