Gs/Sc+P 2 builds [OMFG] testers
Main thing behind both builds is having illusions and phantasms crit for lots of bleed stacks. With the first build interrupt them as much as you can and let you minions go to town.
Yes the concept is stupid especially since the enemy will have issues when to dodge. Lots of the damage will becoming from summon auto attacks :/ and your main interrupt has no cast animation.
I´ve used this trait setup for a looong time now and for me it worked very well, both for power and hybrid builds (condition should be fine as well, i just don´t like the playstyle that much). What makes me wonder is your choice of weapons – why use a greatsword in a build that´s leaning towards condition damage?
If you truly want to play hybrid, you should use might stacking sigils and Bountiful Interruption instead of Mirror of Anguish. I´d still recommend other weapons (I´m currently using S/P, Sc/T with CI), but at least the power part of your greatsword wouldn´t totally wasted due to horribly low power.
Edit: Some form of mobility would be useful as well, Traveler or even Centaur, since you´re running mantra heal. Perplexity and Krait are so sloooooow. :P

Ya.. That is my build i have posted before pretty much.. you dont really need PU.. i eventually took points out of PU and moved them into reduction in phantasm cast time..
by going into the last trait line you gain reduction to every illusion casting skill plus reduction to your main damage dealer iduelist.
it is what i play in tpvp. and im rank 100ish.

First i am using Greatsword due to the fact my friend doesnt believe it is viable in a condition build second i have 1,5k power in wvw which isnt much but it does help.
Also with greatsword out i get bleed stacking close to that of traited bounce trident clones (20 stacks and up if i have an iduelest out with 2 gs clones). It is a lot stronger than most people think. The only skill on greatsword that doesnt work well with conditions is skill 3, and i still remove a boon with it.
I have played so much mesmer might stacking builds it sometimes gets old, and after mixing CI with focus traits a while back i fell in love with letting people interrupt themselves and cause the trait to trigger.
Torch is terrible with CI it is the only weapon you get 0 interrupts from, the only time i would use it in a non shatter build is for PU.
And finally i Made the PU varient for the extra mobility due to swiftness, if i am running solo. With a group or just 1 right complimentary build speed boosts become common.

Taking points out of Chaos for phantasm cooldown changes the build completely, and yes PU is not necessary at all that is why i posted the CI build first.
Post a link to your former post i would like to see what you run. Are you condition? Power?

is the build i have been running.. It is the same basic concept but not so worried about dieing to conditions. Bountiful interuption makes a hybrid spec 10x stronger to stack 15 might quick boosts your physical and condi damage a ton. if you dont run phantasmal haste the bleeds from iduelest dont overlap as much and it puts alot less pressure on your target.
it is preference though. if you die all the time to condis and disables you can run the 3 condi clears//pu and extra stealths.. its just a much more defensive version of the same concept. Should still work.

I´m quite sure that most of your bleeds come from iDuelist rather than GS clones. Granted, they can stack some bleeding, but it still seems like a waste of skills 1, 3 and 5 to me (even more so in the PU version).
By the way, torch has some potential for lockdown builds, especially for hybrids. I´m using Prestige as a substitute for Decoy to get a free slot for something else (boonremove, for instance), burning adds some nice damage as well. Pistol+MoD+Diversion are enough interrupts, imho it´s not necessary to get another one from your second offhand.

Did you test that cause i just summoned 3 greatsword clones on a target in the pvp training area and they easily got 20 stacks of bleed. :O Dont be to sure. Decoy is just as much about stun breaking as it is about stealth no need take a weapon that doesnt compliment the build as much to get an extra utility. Gs 2 gives cover condition and might (both good) Gs 1 is an auto attack something i rarely use on mesmer, Gs 3 is sub par though it has its uses and gs 5 is epic with CI if you can land interrupts.
With the 1,5k power and 60+ crit chance the raw damage is still a factor.

wow i like yours too, still stuck on CI just cause immobilize sucks. Just gave it a spin and phantasmal haste+ phantasmal fury is wicked with 1 Iduelest and Izerker.
Greatsword clones do stack a very good amount of bleeds. The main issue with gs clones is that when you dodge roll your clones target the closest target to you. so in a fight with chaos they dont do as much as they can in a 1v1 situation. If you can isolate or get someone trying to bunker a point you can plant 2 gs clones at max range.. and your iduelst hits from max range traited and melt even a bunker.
I use sigil of earth on my greatsword so i can stack bleeds with my auto attacks whenever i get a chance.. It isnt as strong as a power greatsword with air.. but the same concept..
With my build Iduelest is up as soon as you can swap back to scepter/pistol weapon set.. and if you have 2 duelests up it gets ugly for your enemy.
3 points in the last traitline are very important to me in this build.. lowers your torment block cooldown, your iduelest cooldown. both greatsword skills dancing blade and izerker..decoy.. blah blah.. and every point in the last traitline is condi damage. so 4 points = 200 condi damage.
The main issue i have with CI with my build is that my disables are hard disables.. So ci will just overlap with my stun/knockdown/pistol stun.. its good if they use a stun break because they also have to use a condi cleans to get out.. but i think its too redundant for me.
i think one of the strong points for that trait line is Bountiful Interuption though..
I like to switch out chaos line completely, and put them into Domination for 15% more damage and Mender’s purity.

It focuses a lot more on phantasms rather than interrupt
Edit: You can swap around Duelist’s discipline and deceptive evatsion

I see where you are going with it.. This builds around the idea that you are very defensive vs conditions. Having to force menders purity cuts off some options in building. I personally think bountiful interuption adds alot more damage then 15 percent to illusions. In a power build the 15 percent helps alot more because it only changes your illuisons physical damage not bleeds. In the build i posted you can really feel that as a fight goes on you will get a ton stronger because of compounding bleeds.. and compounding condi+physical from BI..
Just a prefrence though. i havent played with condi cleanse since the start of the game.. since all the old shatter builds(and new ones) have none.

Tried out bonti rup, actually pretty fun + that might tho
I tested Str sigil on greatsword.. I am still very unsure on it though. I think thats what im going to try next.. 1 second cooldown to gain might on crit. and greatsword hitting 3x an attack. seems like it would work out ok. Hard to tell if that will outweigh 3 second cooldown bleed on crit.
also if you can land solid combos i can see running scepter/pistol sword/focus.. getting a lockdown on someone with a iwarden spinning on someoen could well. the only downfall is that im not sure sword clones are worth anything in a fight at all.
