Well guys, I`m frustrating whole this week about my bloody dear mesmer.
I think this problem is not for mesmer only.
Traits system are very nice and interesting, but it seems before ANet will fix it right many players will leave game or will be disappointed at very least.
First of all traits for weapons should be MINOR.
You forced me to choose trait lines to buff some weapons? Fine.
But after that you forcing me to waste major traits for buffing weapon and lose some special tricks? Ok, I will chose another major trait, but my weapon will stay with skills with normal 25 sec cooldowns? Nice. So what`s the point?
Is this balancing? No. Is this preventing OP? I don`t think so.
A lot of traits for some features when I interrupt foe. What is that? Trait system was finished within 2 days? Someone lack in time, rushing Scrum for release? Hope not.
Some traits will never be used by anyone, so what for they are created?
I got many builds but game force me use the most reasonable/popular/useful build.
But why? I don`t wanna use staff! I don`t wanna use pistol!
I wanna go scepter+sword, sword+focus build with direct damage, not condition damage… and what I have? If I will choose some path I will lose something.. I will be squishy… or will do no dmg at all.. or will be with huge cooldowns… or something else.
Yes I understand that I can`t be super fat with tons of damage with 2 sec cd skills, but at least losing one of thing should be worth it.
But in fact for dungeon you MUST be fat (tough/vit), mid dmg, enough skills that can interrupt… So all this things FORCE me to choose weapon, armor, runes and traits!
It`s pity.
P.S. Don`t tell me l2p, learn to mesmer. If your play style/build matched with main way how to do dungeons – it means only that you are lucky. I play gs/sword+sword/focus with def/hp gear only couse game force me to do this. But I wish to use other weapon set wich makes me useless glass cannon
