Nm, forget I said anything, it’s getting hotfixed.

I’ll refrain from commentary here, because I’d get permabanned from these forums.

Can I ask what it is they intend to change, love?

Power block will no longer affect ressing and stomping. I’ve also heard that the devs consider blocking aa’s and thief skills as unintended behavior, so I’ll assume they’re removing that as well.

So an entire class will be completely immune to it. Awesome.

Mmh it becomes basically useless then. i undertand aa’s qq but thief skill, really the “i’m a thief you can’t interrupt me cause i’m a thief all insta” it’s a sad stuff. Anet speak of cc build then put into a class who negates all interrupt but ok..

I hope, if they really hotfix power block, to read in the same hotfix notes the fix of warden and IE.

I can understand preventing it from working on auto attacks and rez/stomps, but I absolutely would not agree if they made thieves completely immune to it. We actually have a good shot against thieves now with it.

That said, 6/2/6 pb+CI is amazing.

If they do this, they will essentially destroy the trait… I could understand halving it, make it do 5s to instant cooldown skills, and 10s to cooldown skills, but seriously to remove it entirely is kitten…. Why the hell give us a moment of the old memser back if all they are going to do is take it from us.

This said so long as it still goes through defiant there will be a place for lockdown mesmers in pve…

All thief weapon skills have 0 cooldown. According to how this trait was unveiled it was supposed to add +5s to cooldown skills. This means that all thief weapon skills will be immune to this now… Which is absolutely kitten. This trait gave us a reminder of what it used to be to be a mesmer, We were actually able to hold back the thieves. I guess it is by design though that thieves are to be the apex predator…

Well hello useless GM trait then.

I don’t really get how ppl think this trait is op. We barely have any AoE CC on a low cooldown, stability totally makes this trait useless and if you put that 10 sec cooldown on a skill, so what? Just swap the weapon and GG.

I was dueling a friend of mine on his thief yesterday and he didn’t really have much problems with the trait. Guess why? Cause 90% of the skills of thieves are on a 0.25 sec casting time. if you interrupt him, then yes it’s strong, but only if.

Then lets look at warrior; Amazingly low cooldown on weapon swap and weapon skills overall. They’re not gonna get annoyed when they can’t use their #1 for 10 seconds, they’ll just swap weapons or use the rest of their skill bar like they’re supposed to.

Even ele doesn’t got much problems with this skill as a lot of eles skills are channeling skills or just swap atunement when they get interrupted on #1. And if you interrupt their #1 while they have all atunements on cd? Well played then, because that was either a lucky spam daze which you would probably hae blown up at start fight already, or it was a smart daze where you noticed the ele spamming attunements.

Only profession I can think of that gets annoyed by this trait is rangers. Interrupt that #1 longbow and GG. But I guess when fighting a ranger on his longbow as mesmer is already auto win, so why does it matter?

Anyway, this trait shouldn’t put CD on stomping and ressing sure, but really, how ’’OP’’ is this trait atm? Just because people are using it now a lot doesn’t mean it’s ’’OP’’, that just means people wanna try out other game types.
The moment this skill becomes OP is when a mass group of different prof notices what is going on and will mass complain about it. So far I’ve heard no one saying it was op after using the trait for 3 hours in PvP.

Haha. Anyway if any devs are reading I strongly recommend using this, a lot: https://code.google.com/p/googletest/ (I assume the server code is c++, if its Java JUnit4 + mockito is rather nice)

And code reviews, and a continuous build (that won’t let you submit stuff that breaks tests). There’s really absolutely no need for weird unintended side effects like these to have occurred.

Just to add to this, if stopping someone from stomping is class as op / wrong, then they should stop assassin from stomping you while vanished.

How many times have your buddy trying tried to rez you only to get stomped by an invisible person?

This two mechanics adds some extra factor one have to consider into PvP games.

If they remove ours them remove there’s.
