Hello everyone,

I was searching the Internet for pictures of mesmers and found this one that seems like a mesmer summoning a phantom. Of course I know that artwork and in game art are a bit different but well In game the Phantoms all look like the Mesmer Summoner… And well Since they don’t serve the same purpose of the clones as other players can separate the mesmer from the phantoms it summons why the hell aren’t they like this? It would kitten being able to summon this phantoms.

What do you guys think?

PS: I know we won’t get to summon them like this artwork as it would make the mesmer phantoms a bit too close to the ritualist profession assuming Anet is saving the profession for Cantha expasion( altough the phantoms can be shatered and they disappear once the enemy is killed unlike ritualist’s Spirits) But at least we could try to have Anet take a look at this.

First impression I got out of that picture was that the Shatterer was coming to shatter you before you could shatter you illussions to shatter his face.

this would be extremely cool, i dont like phantasm to have the same appearance of the mesmer.
think about duelist wearing the van helsing outfit, id really play pistol more often!
i mean, a different weapon is quite a little to consider it an illusion a berserker, a warlock, a rogue or whatever.

I’ll say the same thing I said about it during beta:

While it has the potential to be really cool, I’m afraid Anet just might somehow mess it up. Most of the majestic characters and scenery look great in the game, but some of the more horrific imagery just… doesn’t (see necro minions). At least with the way it is at least I know they will always look good, because they look like… well… ME! :p

Imagine 2 Shattercat Mesmers in sPvP. Now one of them is a male and the other is a dragon.
