Codas are ranged channel skills that deal damage from afar to enemies. Codas apply Boons to allies within the Coda’s sound wave, and heals allies near the target’s location, making for great sustain healing verse the burst healing of a Druid.

I think f5 will be impossible because they will only allow the use of one elite spec. But whatever. There was a thread on this a while ago and it sounds really neat. As a musician, you have my full support!

Wouldn’t a Bard have a warhorn? Mostly because Mesmer’s skills sometimes shout out stuff. Shatter 2 is even named Cry of Frustration.

I don’t support it. Warhorn and Shouts are sitting right there. You can still roll a boon support idea with the common conceptions of Horn and Shouts without going overboard with Such Unique, Very Wow new mechanics. Plus Trooper and Reaper rune synergy.

This was my interpretation of the Bard from a while back.

I like the idea.
One day while i was day-dreaming i thought about a Abyss walker mesmer with daggers and State Of Mind or Mental State utilities similar to stances, for instance Mental State: Aggression – for 6s give pulse might and fury to yourself and up to 5 nearby allies, also allies do 10% more dirrect & condi damage, when mental state ends blind enemies in 240 radius and grant allies chaos aura.
Or something like that.

I got a better idea, make current specs work and fix bugz? You like it, yes?

Very nice idea but i would not like it tbh. We already have 2 Long Ranged 2HWeapons.

We need a Main Hand Power based ranged weapon next. (Axe pls?)

So player instruments: the class?

A bard class would be fun, but not attached to a mesmer. Totally different classes. One creates illusions, another sings songs.

have an idea regarding this bard specialization idea and how that would interact with the clones mechanism; to keep it simple:
- Bard has access to powerfull songs called hymns
- 1 hymn is organized in 3 verse ( all 3 verse must be sung to complete the hymn)
- each clone can sing 1 different verse
- once you have 3 clones up ( if they stay alive long enough) the hymn can be complete and activated.
– those hymns should have a large area effect, shattter skills could be used to activate the effect of the hymn.

Ah, but Bards are commonly illusionists themselves. The only other good option would be Thief, but the Mesmer still pulls ahead between the two.

How exactly is that not a warhorn spec?
