Opinions: Mantra of Swiftness.

How about a Mantra of Distraction.
Passive: +15% movement speed (wouldn’t want mesmer to actually be fast like all other classes or anything, just a small band aid because mesmer op stuff!!!11)
Active: Stealths you for 1 second. Usable twice.
Would give us a tool confuse enemies mostly by removing their target and blending in with clones.
Oh and the passive is not in effect while not charged. Because mesmers are too op dealing 19k dps and havig so many utilities fighting 15 people at once bursting anyone destroying everything portaling everyone confusing anyone damaging applying conditions buffing everyone……..
You get the idea.
Remove Mantra’s altogether.
They’re still clunky and slow. In PvE there are better options
In PvP they are unusable in a serious match. If you feel they are good. Please show me in a recorded paid tournament just what you are doing so that myself and others may learn. As it stands any player that chooses to use mantras is seriously nerfing themselves just to have a watered down effect with slightly better timing and atrocious cast times.
Buffing 1 with additional effects like swiftness does not solve the issues.
Adding a new skill in does not solve the issues.
Replacing one just for swiftness shows how little people even care for Mantra’s when they choose the strongest Mantra to be replaced….
Why should everything we have as a mesmer be sPvP only and if not it should be removed? sPvP isn’t the only thing in this game to do. It’s great in Dungeons and WvW. I rock a power/heal mantra build and it’s quite a lot of fun.
As for swiftness, I would like a passive effect on one of the mantras for swiftness (Like on mantra of resolve maybe?) I currently don’t get any speed buffs without using focus or the RNG sigil. Which is quite irritating in WvW to try to keep up with people yet still play my build effectively.

Solution:
All Mantras take 4 seconds to charge.
You can only have 1 mantra charging at a time. (No limit on mantras charged )
Charging a mantra does not count as a skill cast (you can cast another spell while charging).
Taking damage cancels the mantra charge and puts it on cd for an additional 4-5 seconds.

That would make them even more useless, as they would be impossible to charge in combat without using say stealth (which negates most of the point of allowing skill use through channelling).

Or you could actually be doing some damage while charging your mantras, like, say, using your weapon skills.

Except the Mantra will never get charged, because if you’re not stealthed or Distorted or whatever you’re almost certain to take damage in a 4s interval against any competent opponent; so you may as well not use the Mantras and get a Heal/Utility you can actually reuse.

Well, you get the idea. You can just tweak it, it’snot like my idea is the new permanent change or anything. Sheesh.
