Guild Wars 2

I play a confusion build in PvP and use staff, scepter/tourch. My tourch has Rune of Superior Energy on it while both my scepter and staff have Rune of Minor Corruption (the one that gives condition damage each time you defeat a foe). Anyways, when I test this on Svanir and Chieftan in the mists, I do get 1 point each time I kill them. However in hotjoin I don’t get (5 points) for each kill (other people still get bonus points from their blood lust and minor corruption). I’m confused. Does anybody have the same problem? I do need extra condition damage since confusion is kinda underpowered

Ah thank you for the reply. I wonder if this only happens to mesmers? because whenever I am in hotjoin, i still see other professions (necro, engi) earn the charge for each kill. One time I unequipped and then equipped weapons and then I started to earn the charge, once i died it bugged again It is really not convenient having to unequip weapon each time you die.
