Why doesn’t the portal skill tooltip show how the max range for the skill?

This is a wery good post. Been thinking it myself several times when i missed the range and zerg of angry french ppl ate me alive. Also, why no timer when 1st portal go up so you know when you need to set 2nd out.

It also seems to me like the range has been reduced on the portal, particularly in WvW. It seems like I have to run halfway back from a supply camp, even when the actual distance is only about half a map away.
