i personally use it in a build i have, its actually not half bad, it has a rather nice range of around 480 around your player according to the wiki. it paired up with unyielding blast will allow you to stack a nice amount of vulnerability in DS form
I think the only time I would see it being used is in a DS1 build that sat in DS a lot to pump out 1s. Otherwise I see no reason to bring it, and even then I feel its subpar to either CtD or Deathly Precision, one of which you’d have to give up.
Same problem all the somewhat interesting traits has. It is a master level trait in a tree no one wants to take. One minion that might be up, and subsequently a small bonus to toughness are total garbage compared to curses and SR.
Also it shares a spot with greater marks. I used it for a time, it was okay, but I already have enough ways to provide that condition.
I agree with what everyone said. wish it would be moved to adept tier then it would be considered for DS power builds

I use it when I run a minion build but encounter a situation where my minions will be 1 shot anyway and I just need alternatives for the time being. Otherwise, I’ve tried it and it really isn’t worth bringing. If you wanna stack vulnerability in DS, unyielding blast is far more effective. I think the reason this one is still stuck in grandmaster tier is that it originally was supposed to cause chill instead of vulnerability. That would warrant a grandmaster imo. Maybe one ay they’ll rework this or move it to a lower tier or replace it altogether. Right now it’s not really something feasible to bring on for a few reasons:
- Too deep in a trait tier to warrant bringing over other more useful traits
- Relies solely on staying in DS to be effective as well as being very close to the target. There are other, much more efficient and less dangerous ways to stack vulnerability
- not 100% sure but I think it has an icd
- Still subject to the 5 target limit
- Deals no damage, and also only procs every 3 seconds, meaning to get any viable vulnerability stacks you have to stay in DS for far too long (it does however proc once immediately on activation)
