So with the new corruption changes I can think of only one possible build that could come from it. A suicide bomber. A classic guild wars one builds. The problem is we have the suicide part. But not the bomb part. Maybe if we had a trait to damage foes around us on suffering conditions maybe Master of corruption would be semi decent. But it would have to be a massive chunk of damage with no internal cool down. I could actually see it now as a really hyper niche build. But, currently a Mallyx Revenant still does it better. Of course, everything a necromancer should do well a Revenant does better.

You’ve got the rune of the afflicted. So when you down yourself with your elite, you can inflict some death nova quality damage.

Death Nova and Rune of the afflicted will both deal aoe damage when you go down. If you get really really lucky and both crit, they’ll both proc the downstate damage trait and you can get something like 5k damage total.

Yes they do. Death Nova also does direct damage when you’re the one going down, unlike when minions explode. It’s about 800 in a zerker build without crit, attributable to a skill called "poison cloud’ in the combat log

I was thinking of this too but I don’t even know how this would work. Necro doesn’t do condi burst very well… and to add to that Death Nova uses poison for damage… So I can’t see this working at all.

It would be a silly build to say the least. The problem is that even this build is ruined by terror’s placement. And this build type is intended to kill yourself! GG anet. GG.. We can’t even kill ourselves right.

honestly with the ten stacks of vuln i can imagine how well i can snipe necros with my ranger now. Rapid fire takes less than 4 seconds to go off so..
