Hello everyone, I need some feedback on some armor. I have 1380 HotW tokens…but I have no idea what armor to spend them on. I had my sights on the rabid for condition…but i really like the use of daggers. I don’t have any wish to be a “tankmancer”.
Can anyone offer any advice on the Magi armor part? The precision/vitality/healingpower? I love the idea of massive heals. I was thinking 30/0/0/20/20 with no idea on runes and trinkets. Any help would be great!!

If you find yourself using main hand dagger most of the time, rabids will not do much for you. Sure, the precision is good but all those condition damage points are completely unused. Synergy’s not very good.

I’m not sure about PVH armor… Conventional wisdom holds that it’s a better idea to protect one’s health pool with toughness rather than try to replace it in the middle of a fight. But the fact you’re considering this type of armor is odd considering you stated that you didn’t want a tanky build as this is exactly that.

rabid for conditions
berserker for power
rampager+berserker for hybrid – all you need in pve

Only use Rabid if you are a full conditionmancer where your weapons are Scepter + Dagger, Staff.

Nemesis used Celestial for his Hybrid build. That’s another option for you.

Celestial might be a bit overexpensive for poor mortals, no?

Celestial is reserved for the rich gods of necromancy who know how to change their fighting tactics mid fight despite skill rotations and build beliefs.

Tread lightly, all whom trespass in the realm of Celestial builders beware.

Yeah I doubt I will ever consider Celestial armor. I am however, reconsidering a tank build for the necro. I was thinking Pvt, but I really…really hate hitting like a wet noodle. Is there anyway I could use Pvt gear and a combination of weapon/trinket stats with a good trait build that will prevent that?

yeah. slot rubies in your gear, go balls to the walls and go 30/20/0/0/20 straight d/w + staff and be reckless.

You can get decent results by running all cavalier trinkets with rubies and assassin weapons with PVT armor. On Ascii’s power zerg build (0/25/25/20/0) this is 2950 power/2800 armor/23000 hp/42% crit chance/46% crit damage with exotic trinkets and master maintenance oil.

On a typical 30/10/0/0/30 build, the crit chance drops to an unusable 34%. In that case, you can run knights trinkets with a 50/50 mix of emeralds and rubies for 3200/2600/21000/46%/46%.

Mix of berserker and rampager give you more. Why do you need healing power, toughness and vitality in pve?
