I’ve seen some really cool Necros running around, but can’t figure out where they are getting their SWEET looking armor, masks, and weapon skins. Can anyone point me in the right direction? My level 80 Sylvari Necro could use a little “horrifying”, lol

A lot of necros run the Arah set. I think the CoF pants fit the style as well.

Best mask is mask you choose when create necro

You’re right, the Arah armor set looks nice! Can I use a transmutation stone to transfer the ‘look’ of the armor to the armor that I currently have?

I was just reading up on the Arah Dungeon. Looks like I have a lot of work ahead of me. That dungeon looks tough. It will be worth it though!

if I could, I would totally remake my human necro into an asura and turn it into a fire demon imp (destroyer). Hellfire head + shoulders + gloves look amazing on asura. The smoke effect is a lot more visual on asura because the hellfire solid parts are smaller so the smoke is wider whereas on bigger races like charr/norn the smoke gets caught inside the solid parts. Now if only I could somehow wear Medium armor Arah coat on my necro for that dinosaur spine tail + Arah boots it would be COMPLEAT!

Best face mask/cape/helmet is Charr skull mask , check it out.

If you want some horrifying weapons.

Zhaitans Reach, Adam, Malefacterym, Jaws of Death/Maw of the kitten ed, The Crossing and Deathwish. All pretty necroey. Godskull weapons are pretty decent bonelike skins, very cheap aswell.

Im trying to find a dagger skin thats deathly, but i cant find anything.

I am using the AC one, and it is cool, but it doesnt glow all the time.

Malefacterym is a popular dagger for necros. I couldnt decide on a dagger I liked with a bone theme so i ended up switching to a corrupted dagger. Nice skin and the frosty effect suits necros pretty well.

In case of human female chars, well you are kinda out of luck outside the general wraith mask, no head piece looks necroish without clipping the hell out of the rest of the armor set (and no arah just looks plain silly with giant…“foci” under bondage straps, well at least with the colors i have been using *seriously it ends up looking like 2 bathing suits over eachother).
Look up the rate the necro above you for some ideas.

*im personally using CoF pants and head piece since they give the Dhuum like look… god how i wish that you could color the effects on armor pieces.

Fire demon with green necromancer skills? Not fit. You can make Elementalist and with fire build it would look amazing

lucky drop from the MK dungeon xD (i was also using zhaitans reach and severed hand dagger for even more zombie hands)… i transmuted the skin onto my charr necro so it didnt get thrown into the bin

I love the Sclerite Dagger skin, but is too expensive. So, my choice of necroish dagger is the Flame Dagger – looks awesome, and is pretty cheap!

Fire demon imp?
Sounds like my Necro, except that I use Fused Gauntlets instead of Hellfire.

Problem is (on human females) it clips to god knows no end… essentially you turn into a risen (no neck, no stomach, creepy arm movement).

This is what my necro uses. It’s great, easy to acquire (can be found at low levels from karma vendors and crafted under the name “Shadow Armor”), and at least in the case of human females it’s one of the only really good armor options for necros.

I also have a friend who’s fem human necro uses the exotic skin “Acolyte” armor (think it’s called “Seer” in the PvP locker). It works quite well for necro armor when given a dark color scheme.

All in all though I wish there were more options for necro-style armor, there’s all of two or three sets that really fit the rest are obviously tailored to the traditional mesmer/ele style. What I would give to get my old Krytan Armor back.
