Hello everybody, Hurtzfield back in town. It’s time to play something different again.

It has been oh… almost 2 1/2 years since I played GW2 and I recently had the urge to give it a shot since I am willing to bet there have been server mergers to some extent.

Why I left before? The server I was on (Whiteside Ridge) was not populated enough when I was online, and so I got bored.

So I tried to go through the Patch Notes for releases, and … well I got about half way through 2013 and went… ok, there has to be someone who has made a “update summary” of sorts. The Wiki only has a couple months on it, so it’s not much help. There aren’t even any ‘major release’ sections in the release notes forum to signify things like Talent redesigns or anything of the sorts.

So my question is, can anyone explain massive changes since launch that are extremely important? I can probably figure out the small things myself and by reading, but I am looking for things like:

“They got rid of X Skill” or “X skill was completely reworked, and is now useless.” LOL

Also on a site note, any list of servers or server merges that have happened?

For PVE, there are no mega servers so most every map is as populated as can be. In wvw, there haven’t been any changes. As far as skills, there have been a lot of changes since you left, but generally speaking only really death shroud has changed (has a fifth skill and you can interact with things), spectral wall applies fear instead of vulnerability, and we have some new GM traits you should check out. A lot of other changes but many of them are smaller. Oh and putrid Mark and corrupt boon aren’t the same
