On the plus side, Dhuumfire will work rather well on a Reaper.
I wouldn’t be going around saying how good something is compared to something else, the last time people did that it resulted in the current consume conditions nerf. This of course because ANET logic is not to buff the super weak things on our class, but to nerf the strong things. That way everything feels the same and you don’t realize how weak necro is till you play something else.

no it wont. The damage scaling isn’t high enough to warrant taking it. With only 1 stack of poison, and barbed precision dropped from 66% on crit to 33% on crit along with it being 3 seconds you’ll be able to maintain about 6 stacks. Probably 5 stacks because of after cast delay. Just go power on reaper. No point using conditions with the horrible traits we’re getting for condi.
Dhuumfire won’t work “well” on Reaper, it will just make being in reaper slightly less detrimental to a condi build.

Going by the new numbers, 6 stacks of Burning will be ticking in at about 2700 damage per tick. Not really super amazing, but compare that to what a Condi Necro does in Death Shroud now.
