could add more variety, stop every skill from just being ‘this is also an aoe heal’ help it support builds and make it useful.

Staff

Astral Grace: Make this skill a port. Give the Ranger a much needed maneuverability boost to help its power builds become more viable in PvP. A sustainy Longbow Ranger with great mobility that can rush in and provide some support to teams and provide its burst from long range could help the Ranger muscle in on Theif/Mesmer territory.

Vine Surge: Add some bleeds.

Glyphs

All of them need some extra umph to make them more interesting/worth taking.

Glyph of Rejuvenation: Make the radius absolutly massive, gives this an advantage over Healing Spring. Probably needs something else though.

Glyph of Alignment: Blast finisher and increase length of conditions, in Celestial form, instead of healing provide defensive boons and remove conditions

Glyph of the Tides: Blast Finisher

Glyph of Equality: CD reduction

Quite honestly, the QoEmp should be a 20% damage boost and a 20% reduced damage taken in its inverted form.

Celestial Transform

If this is the druids defining mechanic then it needs to help with more roles

Add decent damage to Cosmic Ray and Lunar Impact

Seed of life needs an offensive component as well (which will also help with Glyphs via the trait), maybe some damaging conditions? Poison, Torment?

Natural Convergence: allow us to move while using it, presuming we can’t.

Traits

Live Vicariously and Natural Mender at the very least need to work when healing the pet, not sure if they mentioned whether it does or not but I would imagine it does.

Natural Mender should be changed to something a little more general to help various builds though. Something like ‘Whenever you heal yourself or an ally grant that person 2 sec Protection. 6 sec icd per person’ Or maybe even a unique buff that reduces damage by say 10% that can then stack with other sources of protection.

Celestial Shadow: Depends on how easy it is to get in and out of celestial form but these feel like they should be slightly longer.

Cultivated Synergy and Lingering Light seem redundent as well with all our other heals, replace them with triats that can help provide some offensive or defensive support outside of heals.

Can’t really think of much more with how the spec is limited in terms of design but along with some buffs to core Ranger and more pets to chose from it could help.

Anybody got any other ideas?

I think it is important to remember that they were looking into adding some kind of damaging support on seed of life and tidal surge which would help diversify CAF a little. Highly doubt Natural Convergence will be mobile as the counterplay given was to get away from the Druid.

Fairly certain pets count as allies and will thus trigger live vicariously and natural mender. Faintly remember seeing small heals go up when the pet was healed from something like Astral Wisp.

Will suggest something for Glyphs if necessary after using them.

The only thing I think should change at this point in time is Lingering Light. It does not look very good or at least competitive with the other two GM, especially with an ICD. Previously suggested that it should increase AF generation and degenerate AF slower while in CAF.

One thing to keep in mind about elite specs, is they’re all based on a very specific theme, Druids is healing and support so i’d say keep the damage it brings in line with someone/something based on supporting and healing (not saying it shouldn’t be there, just not a focus)

Druid is NOT an upgrade to ranger, it’s a variation, if you want to be damage focused, for the time being, you stick with base ranger and don’t touch druid. If you want to be more supportive, you switch to Druid. It’s essentially the same as switching to an extremely similar class. Or multiclassing in other games.

Also, we can move while using Natural Convergence, they even show us that during the preview.

As for Lingering Shadow or w/e it’s called i absolutely agree, I at first thought it was 4s of each (pretty reasonable), but when seeing it was only 2s, it seems like it’ll be too weak, but then again i haven’t played with it yet, so that’s tbd.

As for the Glyphs, Alignment already removes condis in celestial form, it just does healing instead of boons which i think is fine given the theme of druid is to just outheal everything and worry about boons later.

For Glyph of Equality, I can’t agree more, it’s a 40s CD, which is pretty much double what ever other glyph we got is. I get that it’s a lot of damage and a potential 4s Daze with moment of clarity on 5 targets, but still, at least drop it to like 35s or something and see how it plays out from there.

I personally don’t think we NEED blast finishers on those glyphs you mentioned, but i’m sure as kitten not going to say no, they look like they very well could be a blast finisher, so i’m not going to argue.

I was actually a bit disapointed that Vine Surge didn’t deal some bleed damage myself, and I don’t think we’ll get a port, the dash is good and allows your allies to sort of position to where you’re heading if they want healing.

They sing dark, delicious notes about power and family.
As their mother, I have to grant them their wish. – Forever Fyonna

Yup. Stuck with the same ol’ same ol’ for three more years until the next elite spec comes with the next expansion. If my decision to buy the expansion relied solely on the Druid I wouldn’t have bought it. But, because my wife plays the game, I did…. and I like my guild well enough.

Pets still can’t execute attacks while moving, so.. yeah.

Speaking from a PVE-only point of view…
