So, I read a post recently where someone mentioned a frosty ranger build (heavy on the chill) and this piqued my interest for a potential WvW roaming build. To the poster who teased at this idea: Care to make up a build based around this theme?

I haven’t tried this build after April 15th but i did test this out months ago in spvp its alright, you can apply a good amount of frost if your foe doesn’t have crazy condi removal. Just know that this build requires you to be up close and personal because axe #2 is your main damage.

A consistent hoser such chill actually sounds pretty promising.

You’re going to want to run Geomancy/Hydromancy on both Axe/Dagger and Sword/Torch, with runes of grenth. Beyond that, the rest is however you want to set the build up.

I haven’t had the time to theorycraft the build for WvW yet, but I can try to give you an idea of how I would run it. This is how I would probably run the PvP version in WvW. Might work pretty good on Elementalists, doesn’t affect Thieves. And advice: Don’t mess up with Necros, you’ll chill yourself
