I was just bored, trying some build alternatives from which some were a BM Hybrid focusing on team support via Vigor, AoE regen and an occasional heal burst…
…
And when I finally made one and hurried in-game to try it out – I got face-bombed.

Is there a reason why Fern Hound does NOT inherit any heal power coefficient from it’s master? GW2 build editor persuaded me that it does (and it would be absolutely magnificent if it did, since the build was interesting).

Is it a bug, was there a nerf, or is that intended… ?
(I’m thinking the same about pets’ condition damage stat – but I was aware of this not working)

The site that you used persuaded to think that ranger pets inherit the player coefficients.
No pet gets anything from their master’s gear/build, only the points from the BM trait line goes to the pet, nothing else.

It isn’t a bug or nerf, it was never like that.

To top it all of, even if you go full BM, pets do not have Condi damage and Healing power stat, which is a pity.

So having the +350 Healing power trait, thats the only Healing power pets get.

Sad. /facepalm.

Assuming you’re using gw2skills don’t look at pet damage/healing values or condition/boon durations. I’m pretty sure the calc scales them off player stats, which is incorrect. Pets have always had their own stats including condi/boon durations independent of the player.

That being said according to the wiki for whatever reason the heal from Invigorating Bond DOES scale off player’s Healing Power.

This is true i have tested it, and arena net put that the fact that it does in the initial patch notes and in the information before it was released.

most other almost every other pet based effect comes from the pet stats (or lack of stats)

Oh… That’s a disappointment…
