I’ve been trying to build a Ranger according to DD505 for Shortbows, but I feel that I can’t maximize SB with a Greatsword.

What then is the best build in your opinions for Shortbow, and also, what’s the best swapset of weapons?

I’d also like to add; I really do prefer Shortbows over the other weapons, I feel it gives me the best balance between speed and range. Any tips, ranger pros?

Why do you feel that way about SB/GS? If anything, that’s the best setup for Moment of Clarity since they’re the only weapons that benefit from it’s added stun/daze effect.

Also, is this for PvE/sPvP/WvW?

Hey jubskie. I kinda feel weird about coming in from long range and having to switch into melee. I guess I got used to frequent switching between my 2 bows; opening with vuln/poison, and the occasional AoE.

I honestly don’t know how to go into GS also. Is it something like you just go into it if needed (like mob is approaching you, etc.?)
