[GWAM] and [LUST]
Mess with the best, die like the rest.

lol?
i´ve got -93% duration on cripple, chill an immo..try it
first gap closer you use is gs #3 cause of evade, no need to pop stabi and even if you knock me back i use gs #5 and dont need to pop stabiin a zerg for great justice is used for condi remove with soldier rune and heal, but it´´s not so strong for small scale groups but can work sure.
Ok lets go SPvP and see if you can pull it off. I will use my LB/GS ranger against your warrior.
Edit: would say WvW but i doubt our servers are competing (Fort Aspenwood here)
Also, how are you getting -93% condition duration if you using runes of Lyssa. Which doesn’t give any. Due note i am still using your example of 5 stabilities which doesn’t have any condition control at all.

than it could be hard, i play on eu
than it could be hard, i play on eu
very hard then. Guess i will have to make a video one of these times when i am fighting a WvW warrior or SPvP warrior and show you how a true LB ranger plays and is capable of.
do it..but i will see if the warr is just bad or not

Well based on that logic how would you consider a warrior good or not? (deters from the main topic of this forum way to much thou).
Honest opinion, it won’t change much. Still, as mentioned, we lack kiting abilities. One reason for that is how the movement in game was designed (strafe being slower, able only to kite in circle if target is close, left-side kiting far worse than right-side (strange and sad), range skills which break easily, slow character reaction), second is complete lack of constant kiting tools like slowing enemies with cripple, cleanses from movement imparing effects and quick disengages to gain range( my personal favourite in here is Quick Shot – perfect sample of disengage, though very short range) coupled with pet beingquite irresposible.
You know, I thought it was just me and the left sided kiting. Glad I am not imagining things. And your correct in the kiting tools, it is far easier and effective to kite as a LB Warrior, mainly because there are AoE fields that are instant cast that you can keep the target kiting through.
Is anyone still getting “Obstructed” on flat terrains? I’m getting more of it when theres more players together. I dont know if its friendlys or my pet thats blocking my arrows. I’d like this to get fixed.

Yea its an annoying bug. Not sure what is causing the collision issue.
Haha, I love those forum duels. “I’d use X!”, “and I’d counter it with Y”!, “no, you’d be dead already!”. Don’t you think it’s simply idiotic? Go duel or sth…

This has been an issue since day 1. Who knows at this point.
this is just a big lol
and i tell you the warri will dont care, dolayk signet = stabi, balance stance= stabi, lyssa rune= stabi, trait = stabi
even if he got no stabi, gs 3/5 and he catch you your dead, your knock down/stealth wont help you, they give you time..time where you deal him no dmg and your cd´s went off
To be fair, if you time your abilities well, you can outplay most warriors. Stability isn’t really a big deal since we do have only one knockback and you can easily save it. Instead, use your immobilize. Paralyzing Venom from Spider works pretty good and responsive, use Muddy Terrain, great vs. evey melee. Tbh, none of the good warriors run all that stability in one build. If they chain it, they’re even worse. Save your PBS for their Leap/Zerker Stance, you can also make use of our pretty sustain stealth time and just wait till his cds drop.
Honestly, maybe not in tPvP because of reduced stats+their HS works better in tPvP, but for WvWvW I’ve encountered very small amount of Warriors who I found very dangerous and well-played 1v1. Sure, there’s a build countering me pretty decent (GS/S+WH with Mobile Strikes, WH traits), but it’s not any popular in W3 outside of running with zergs/group now. Good warriors are not those who run hambow. Those are very easy and dumb to fight, after they waste their Pin Down. Good ones will always bait you to close-quaters zone and disengage often, not trying to tunnel.
I find Warriors on W3 with my LB/SB quite easy unless they run with more friends. In group, they’re deadly.
NO, dont even bother with LB in WvW especially if you zerg! LB has ONE AoE skill & can only hit up to 5 people per pulse (just like any other AoE skill) which isn’t good especially compared to a necro, guardian, warrior ect… I’ll sometimes use complete glass cannon LB if i’m running with 5 or 6 people especially if there’s a guardian because with might you can hit 1 skill and just wreck alot of baddies. But in general LB is just bad, using barrage in a smaller scale fight leaves you totally vulnerable to all dmg & that’s your only AoE skill so after that you have to focus 1 single guy down and hope to god that he doesn’t have alot of retal. I think until it gets reworked(if Anet comes to their senses) it’s just a poor weapon choice.
Regardless it’s our strongest weapon currently in spvp and wvw.
Longbow is certainly not our strongest weapon in sPvP.
it is. people just havent picked up on it yet.
never ever in spvp..never
;)
Yep love it in spvp, its one of our most versatile weapons. I really feel much less powerful when I use anything else.
longbow has always been, and will forever be, viable as a secondary weapon in WvW. the 10th will just reinforce this position.
GS + LB is a good mix for zerg surfing. Works like a charm, especially in skill lag situations.

The problem with the GS + LB combo is you’re effectively using 2 support weapons. Neither weapon can stand on their own or excel at any single function.
unlike most of you guys, i actually run on the frontline of the zerg. The LB is for siege, the GS for zerging. TBH, nothing beats GS in zerging, especially in skill lag.
And what do you contribute with your gs frontline, that you can’t when playing periphery?
Speaking about skill lag, I found rapid fire to be nicely “immune” to it O.o

Cannon fodder.

People who play in the bush leagues probably don’t have to deal with 3 way clusterkittens in garrison/SMC that cause lag so bad nothing but auto attack will activate and you die most often because your heal wouldn’t fire off. Great sword may hit like a wet noodle most of the time, but in a zerg its more about about staying alive and denying the enemy team rallies and stomp points than it is about “pew pew” kills.
If you die in zergs regularly while using the GS all I can say is leave the GC at home and get yourself some nice knight’s/soldier’s gear.

Don’t take away the evade in the GS autoattack
