As much as I can appreciate flailing ones arms in the air while screaming, I feel there are enough threads along those lines and a constructive thread for reporting bugs and unreported changes is in order.

So far, I have heard the following:

  • Traps now all have 30-second cooldowns, and trap potency does not decrease them as intended. Trapper’s expertise, on the other hand, does decrease them but is not actually supposed to.
  • New Pet “Juvenile Reef Drake” listed, likely available in Southsun Cove, the new outdoor zone.

Lets try and get a list of these so when (I refuse to say “if”) a dev comes to check on us he has more information to relay.

Hrm, guess the other poster was incorrect, making it much less likely that it’s a bug. That really is frightening. I was sort of upset before this but I can live with waiting, but if it turns out the nerf to trap CD’s was intended…

Any chance you can test to see if the cooldown is actually 24 secs, or if the tooltip indicates so but is incorrect?

The crippling shot for the short bow has always applied bleed. To be specific, it always made your pet’s attacks apply bleed.

Yes the bleeding effect was always there and when I did use it and my pet managed to hit the target it worked.

The traps haven’t tried, but if the trait is working it seems to be intended, so probably they will just add that in on the patch notes and call it a day…

Sounds like the only undocumented change was the trap CD then?

cooldown is actually 24s (traited) with all traps ._. tooltip is incorrect. they didn’t even bother to update it.

LOL, I guess that will be 4 bullet points worth of updates next patch.

For traps, the traited cool down reduction is working for me (30 sec to 24 seconds).

It’s actually not working properly if you pay close attention.

- With no trap traits, it’s 30 seconds.

- With Trap Potency slotted, which is supposed to reduce the CD by 20%, it’s still 30 seconds.

- With Trapper’s Expertise slotted, which adds ground targeting but makes no mention of CD reduction, the CD is reduced to 24 seconds.

So the overall CD has been increased, the CD reduction is responding to the wrong trait, and the tooltips don’t match reality in either case. Three bugs in one!

Thanks Travis, I’ve edited my OP to reflect this. My guess is there’s at least one change no one has noticed yet (bullet point #16), perhaps a pet skill?

Hey, Good catch! Mommy wants. Those things are beautiful.

Don’t bother it might look all nice, its special is “5 stack of confusion on a cone” like the fire and ice drake with a horrible charge up time, it will never hit in PvP and PvE it will be a pain. The 5 stack of confusion lasts a very short time and ticks for 364 if all 5 stacks hit. Its a worthless pet other than the collection aspect that marsh or river drakes will perform 3x better.

I was hoping for a crab or something though. Another drake… eh, we already have lots of those.

Still, new pets are nothing but good.

If you have a Ranger and go to the Mists, the Reef Drake is already available in the list of pets. It looks like you can use it in PvP as well.

Traps have been fixed.

The Reef Drake is indeed available in the Mists, looks cool, but its F2 is a cone confusion you’ll never land on anything. Would be decent if it was AoE.
