I propose buffing all ranger projectile finishers currently at 20% up to 80 or 100%, or else adding an adept-level trait (or 5pt minor) that gives the effect. Would this be OP? Would it be enough of a buff to make up for the range nerfs, or get people to use bows more?

for rangers arrows alone, it whould not be op, because shortbow have to attack from side and behind…
engi and necro dont have to do it for bring up much condition.

the projectile finishers are rly a bad joke atm.
100% whould be nice for good ice, fire arrow combos and give a ~new playstyle on rangers bow use.
but first problem is, why i should use the spirits then when i can do what i whant with shoot throw ice and fire fields.
reworked spirits to create easy combofields whould help for this problem.

oh and there was a time ranger was have 100% projectile finishers (anet: was a bug).
at this time also nobody used much ranger on dungeons and pvp teams :P

Good idea. 100% on SB 1. would be too much imho, but 50 or 75% should work. I can’t imagine them adding blast finisher to bow (and we are speaking about bows/axes here), so any buff to our ability to participate in combos is good idea.

I’d love to see a blast finisher on lightning reflexes. It even sounds like it should be.

Old thread, I know, but after seeing the post about a ranger pve beginner guide and its discussion, I’m kinda stuck on this idea. This would in no way fix the class to where it needs to be, of course, but it’d be a small step towards making bow rangers useful in some group settings. If rangers are truly unparalleled archers, then our arrows should be projectile finishers most, if not all, of the time (excluding barrage). If need be, make it a minor trait somewhere in the marksmanship line.

I would love 50-70% combo finisher on auto attack. It would make frost/flame trap that much more interesting.

Legendary weapons can be hidden now!
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.

LB #1 should be guaranteed projectile finisher IMO. For 1 sec cast…
Btw, giving Maul a Blast finisher would bring us sub-par with Guardians running Hammer which would be OP. Why?
Because Ranger would be equal to Guardian in some way and that cannot be!
